Scientists think the reason why Taiwan’s climate has changed so much is “Global Warming.” For most of these years, Taiwan’s GHGs emissions have been still increasing.

If the sea level rises, some areas of Taiwan would be flooded. After that, there will be a lot of people moving their homes to higher places. Therefore, coping with climate change is an important issue to us. Although Taiwan is not a member of the United Nations, we are still enthusiastic about helping the whole world to solve the global warming problems.

• What can the Taiwanese do? The government has started to focus on the environmental protection and to propose to save energy and reduce carbon dioxide emissions. For example, you can walk or ride a bicycle to work instead of driving a car. We should take more public transportation, stop cutting down trees, or unplug unused electric equipment, and change dietary habits. The right ways above can help us to save our earth.
