The reason why I choose this picture is because to me it represents the nuns praying and working. This is basically what nuns do all day. Their work is to sew clothes and curtains to use in the convent. There is also a part in the book where Catherine de’ Medici walks in on a nun working and I really think this represents the image that was in my head: a little room where there is a table with a nun sitting behind in sewing away and just mumbling prayers as she works.

This is a place where the nuns come to pray and this is how it was explained in the book: not much fancy but a room what it’s meant for.

Florence. You would think that this picture is just a picture of Florence but to me it represents more than that. It does represent the really pretty city but it also represents all the conflicts in the story. In this picture you can see into the far end of the city, that represents the endless conflicts she has that just continue on.

This picture really reminds me of the part in the book where Catherine de’ Medici’s aunt comes to visit her and how it describes how she is standing in front of grill to talk to Catherine. These doors really represent an old nunnery's door. These doors are also all closed and it is not possible to see through them because you are not allowed to see anyone in a nunnery.

This picture is a diagram of what most nunnery's look like. The reason I choose this is because in the book there is a part where she comes back to the Le Murate and she explains how she missed the courtyard where all the flowers are. I thought this was a good picture to represent it because it shows what her home looked like when she still lived in Le Murate.

I choose this picture because it is of a lot of kids in front of a nunnery, and theses kids are kids that the nuns took in for under their care. The nuns also took Catherine under their care in the Convents: Le Murate & Santa Lucia.
