Visiting my grandparents
This summer I visited my grandparents with myfamily - my parents and my brother and sister.
My grandparents live in a very small village a few
hours away from where my family lives. There is a
swimming pool near their house and my brother
and sister and I sunbathed almost every day.
My grandfather loves to cook, so every day we ate
a lot of delicious food. They also have a big garden
so we could play football outside. Some days we went on a day trip and explored
places near the village. We saw beautiful churches
and one day we swam in a lake.
Because we visit my grandparents every summer,
I have lots of other friends in the village, so in the
evenings we hung out with our friends.
In the evenings we had parties or walked to the
centre of the village to go to the cafe. Sometimes
we watched films at home or helped my grandfather
to make the dinner.
It was a really fun summer, and I hope we will go
again next year!
1. Read the story about
Pauls summer holiday.

2. Talk to your partner.
What did you do this
summer? Can you make

from activity 1?
3. Talk to somebody
different. Interview them by
asking these questions:
Did you go abroad thissummer?
Who did you go with?
What was the best moment
of your summer?
Would you like to do the
same thing next summer,
or prefer to do something
different? Why/What?
4. Write a text like the one above. Choose a title and
describe your trip. Use verbs in the past tense to talk about
the things you did, the people you saw and the places youvisited.

Song
TaylorSwift -Shakeitoff
I stay out too lateGot nothing in my brain
That's what people say, mmm-mmm x2
I go on to many dates
But I can't make them stay
At least that's what people say, mmm-mmm
That's what people say, mmm-mmm
But I keep cruisingCan't stop, won't stop moving
It's like I got this music
In my mind
Saying, "It's gonna be alright."
'Cause the players gonna play, play, play, play,
play
And the haters gonna hate, hate, hate, hate,
hate
Baby, I'm just gonna shake, shake, shake,
shake, shake
I shake it off, I shake it off
Heart-breakers gonna break, break, break,
break, break
And the fakers gonna fake, fake, fake, fake,
fake
Baby, I'm just gonna shake, shake, shake,
shake, shake
I shake it off, I shake it off
I never miss a beatI'm lightning on my feet
And that's what they don't see, mmm-mmm
that's what they don't see, mmm-mmm
I'm dancing on my own
I make the moves up as I go
And that's what they don't know, mmm-mmm
that's what they don't know, mmm-mmm
But I keep...
Cause the players...
Hey, hey, hey
Just think while you've been getting down and
out about the liars and the dirty, dirty cheats of
the world,
You could've been getting down to this sick
beat.
My ex-man brought his new girlfriend
She's like "Oh, my god!" but I'm just gonna
shake.
And to the fella over there with the hella good
hair
Won't you come on over, baby? We can shake,
shake, shake
Cause the players...
