    Jumping for joy

    Y RIDING: A charity which helpsre than 100 disabled childrenh week is jumping for joy after acome donation.

    e Pembrokeshire Riding Schoolthe Disabled received 250 fromrley Thomas, of Haverfordwest,

    Bowlings Riding Centre recently.

    Mrs Thomas raised the money byknitting and selling decorativescarves.She said: The school doesfantastic work for the community,and the amount of volunteersinvolved is incredible.Senior instructor Mike Butcher, who

    accepted the cheque, said morethan 100 children, some as youngas three, passed through the ridingschool each week.Each June, the charity holds a horseshow for people with disabilities,helping to raise much-neededfunds.

    B ELIEVE it or not Clerkenhill Adventure Farm and Frizbee Golf Course iscelebrating 10 years of business. It all started when Richard and Dawn decidedto open their farm to the public by creating an adventure trail through theoodland and around the ponds. Since then a 10 acre Frizbee Golf Course has beended, an old loft tea shop, party room, indoor play area, pedal go-kart track, lots of w trails, fun play areas, many new animals and this year to celebrate the 10 years, aw adventure castle.

    erkenhill Adventure Farm is a family runsiness with Richard and Dawn Lewis at thelm and their four daughters, Daisy, Heather,sie and Poppy as their main work force.Thesiness started with just a small number of cals and visitors, and has become anportant meeting place for many of the localmmunity and a great day out for visitorsm all over the country.

    Clerkenhill is still a 270 acre working mixedricultural farm comprising of 130 milkingws, a beef unit and 60 acres for cereals.

    Being set in a beautiful valley it lends itself toose visitors who love the outside openaces.

    Over the last 10 years, Richard and Dawnve had many enjoyable experiences throughnning the business, met lots of different

    people and have helped several local charities.Richard and Dawn say the main stay of the

    business is the continued support of theirlocal visitors, many of whom have becomepersonal friends, and would like to take thisopportunity to thank them and look forwardto their continued support to ClerkenhillAdventure Farm in the future.
