New Employee Guide to Success

Before the First Day

□ Have employment eligibility documents ready to provide to your department / HR liaison upon request. □ Discuss with HR Liaison when to expect your first paycheck. □ Know where to park on your first day. □ Know your department dress code.

On the First Day

□ Obtain your TigerOne Card ID. □ Order parking permit if you plan to park on campus. □ View Online New Faculty and Staff Orientation. □ Obtain your Username.

In the First Week

□ Set up your outgoing voice mail message. □ Secure access to building. □ Learn how to report and request time and leave. □ Meet with your supervisor to discuss your job description and performance expectations.

In the First Month

□ Schedule and attend New Employee Benefits Orientation. □ Complete job required training. □ Complete system required training. □ Make sure insurance selections are completed within 31 days from your hire date if you are in a benefits eligible position.

As you navigate through the first few weeks, check your knowledge against the following checklist:
