In winter, snow and ice sports reign, and golfers revel year round with a choice of more than 550 courses to play. Duchally closely neighbours famous Gleneagles, while Perth’s South Inch is believed to have been the first ever course and was played by Scottish Kings in the 14th century when the city was Scotland’s capital.

Duchally has 55 award-winning lodges set within the grounds of the estate, all furnished and equipped to the highest standards of Scottish holiday accommodation and boasting a panoramic view of the stunning Perthshire countryside.

Our comfortable self-catering lodges are furnished and decorated to very high standards to ensure home style and comfort. Sleeping up to 8, they are Scottish Tourist Board 4-star accredited and refinements include 37-inch flat screen TV, fully fitted modern kitchens and bedrooms with en suite bathrooms. Plump cushioned sofas provide the ideal antidote to limbs aching from an active day in the great Scottish outdoors.

Built in 1838 by the Monteath family, the elegant country house has been completely refurbished and restored to its full splendour and is considered to be one of Perthshire’s finest and most distinguished country house hotels.

Each of Duchally’s beautifully designed rooms offers you the chance to enjoy a sumptuous stay. Hotel rooms come highly appointed and feature king-size or twin beds, en-suite facilities, complimentary toiletries, fluffy towels and either garden or mountain views. In our small but perfectly formed gin distillery, you can discover the process behind our craft gin, Gatehouse Gin, and sample its unique flavours.

Launched in June 2019, Gatehouse Gin is a joint venture between Duchally Country Estate and Strathearn Distillery, Scotland’s original craft spirits distillery. Made with passion and skill, our gin’s distinctive flavour comes from the careful combination of sweet red apples, rosehips, gooseberries and coriander.

Duchally’s botanicals garden and orchard help keep sourcing local. Discover how we make Gatehouse Gin with a Gin Tour, or learn to make a mean cocktail with our mixology classes.

SPIRIT OF ADVENTURE

We are renowned for our bespoke whisky and gin tastings held in our very own Whisky Bar and why not sample our Gatehouse Gin Experiences:

Gin Tastings – Following a brief introduction to authentically produced gins, you get to sample a selection, including a snifter of our very own Gatehouse Gin. We will talk you through the whole tasting, explaining the botanicals in each gin.

Distillery Experiences - Create your own recipe, guided by the knowledgeable distiller, by playing with a choice of botanicals to produce a one-off gin that you can sample and take home.

You’ll be part of the gin-distilling process from start-to-finish, including filling the still, checking the strength and temperatures and the preparation of botanicals and then collecting the spirit. There’s also time to learn some gin cocktail recipes. It’s the ultimate gin experience.
