Engineering Services Supervisor Trainee Job # CO 6003693 Mountain View Electric Association (MVEA) is actively seeking an Engineer- ing Services Supervisor Trainee for our Falcon Operations Center located at the eastern edge of Colorado Springs. The Engineering Services Super- visor Trainee will be an apprenticeship position being trained in the supervi- sion of a variety of engineering tasks, including, but not limited to construc- tion and retirements of the electric system. The ideal candidate must have the ability to supervise a group of employees, build and maintain good em- ployee teams and customer relations, have an understanding of the elec- tric distribution system, experience with office and engineering software, ability to read, interpret and understand construction specifications, safety rules, procedure manuals, easements and legal descriptions. Must be a self-motivated individual with a high level of accuracy and the ability to ana- lyze and draw conclusions. Candidate must have the ability to interpret a variety of technical instruction in mathematical or diagram form and deal with abstract and concrete variables. Applicant must have a valid Colorado driver’s license and a current First Aid and CPR card. Applicant must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol test and pre-em- ployment physical in addition to random drug/alcohol testing and back- ground check. Must be 18 years of age or older; be a high school graduate or possess a Certificate of Equivalency (GED). Five years related utility ex- perience is required.
