The Odem Housing Authority is currently seeking applicationsfor part-time Property Manager. The ideal candidate will beresponsible for representing himself/herself and the property in aprofessional manner with all residents, employees, and vendors,including both oral and written communication. Always present aprofessional image of himself/herself. Responsible for workingwith all site personnel in an effective, productive manner. Operatethe management office at the property. Responsible for ensuringthat the reporting calendar is followed, and that all reports are runon time. Responsible for achieving working knowledge of therequired business applications to produce the companyʼsrequired reports, and other automated systems to generateInvoice Cover Sheets, work orders, and file copies of material tobe saved.This person must be exceedingly well-organized, flexible andenjoy the administrative challenges of supporting a small office ofdiverse people and programs. The ability to interact with staff (atall levels) in a fast-paced environment, sometimes underpressure, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient,with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality is crucial tothis role. Expert level written and verbal communication skills,strong decision-making ability and attention to detail are equallyimportant. The City of Odem has a job openingfor a Utility Maintenance Worker.Candidate must be willing to performboth routine and skilled heavy,physical work in the construction,maintenance, repair and installationof water distribution, wastewatersystem and related structures.Candidate will be on a 24/14 houron-call duty rotation as required foroperations, maintenance, and safetyof facilities and to ensure theintegrity of the system. Candidatewill assist in the installation andmaintenance of water and sewermains, manholes and valves. Theywill perform basic repairs on waterand sewer lines, shoring of ditchesduring shift and after hours and onweekends as needed. Candidate mustbe able to operate heavy constructionequipment such as backhoes, dumptrucks and loaders. Candidate musthave a high school diploma orequivalent. One year of experience inthe water and/or wastewater field ispreferred. Must have a valid Class “C”or “CDL” Texas Driver’s License.
