BREAKFAST FOODS Morning, for me, is the gloomiest part of the day. I always feel that I am missing about three hours of sleep. Still, somewhere in my subconsciousness, I realize that if I don't wake up and get to where I don't want to be, usually my office, my livelihood as I know it would cease to exist! The car would be repossessed, and Fido might have to go back to the pound! What a prospect! Yet, as a cruel joke, I have to face the dilemma of what to make for breakfast as well. Being at the transitional state between dream and reality, it would help me to be more creative if the selection of breakfast foods is less limited and more enticing, but more often than not, the options include cold cereals, hot cereals, and the artery-clotting forms of food. One of the quickest and most popular breakfast foods is cold cereal. There's a wide selection and various name brands to choose from. For people with a sweet tooth, the choice is plentiful. For instance, Frosted Corn Flakes, made by Kellogg's, is a grain cereal that consists of fine corn flour, sugar, sugar, and sugar, plus corn syrup, calcium carbonate, trisodiumphosphate, and topopherol to preserve freshness. For the health conscious, Honey Bunches of Oats is one of many alternatives. Made by Post, it is also a grain cereal which comes with a list of ingredients that doesn't sound like Chemistry 101! It contains corn, whole wheat, rolled oats, and brown sugar instead of processed sugar, almond, rice, and of course, honey. Sure, one can disguise a bowl of cereal with slices of banana or juicy strawberries, but that's where the excitement ends! No matter the camouflage, a bowl of cereal has the potential to become redundant quickly. Another option that might satisfy one's palate in the morning is hot cereal. Perhaps not as popular as cold cereal but just as quick to get to the table, this breakfast food does not fall in the "exciting" category. It does, however, command the respect of other health foods; it is wholesome and known to lower cholesterol levels. The only disadvantage is its extremely fixed quantity of assortment. One can only find three or four selections in any given supermarket. One of the most sold is Quaker Oats. Its ingredient is quite simple: one hundred percent rolled oats! Oats can be prepared effortlessly. With just two parts boiling water and one part oats, breakfast is served. Another variety of hot cereal, grits, is equal in taste but very different in texture. It is made of finely ground wheat and salt. It comes in twelve individual packets to a box which makes it convenient. Grits is prepared in the same manner as oats and just as quickly, so quickly that there would still be time to prepare a bowl of corn flakes instead! BREAKFAST FOODS

Morning, for me, is the gloomiest part of the day.

The last category of the breakfast dilemma is the greasy food group which includes the likes of bacon, eggs, and their associates. This type of meal is not the quickest to make, but for certain, is the most desirable. After days of corn flakes and grits, this is a criminal's last meal before the execution! The list of choices is endless. Topping it, of course, is bacon and eggs. Bacon comes not only in different brands but also in different thicknesses, smoked and regular. Some bacon comes with less fat than others, but all comes with much more fat than it should. Eggs come in various sizes and colors: small, medium, large, and extra large. They're packed in half dozen, one dozen, or a baker's dozen of eighteen to a carton. Their shell's colors range from white, brown to pastel blue and pale yellow. Though there's only one way to prepare bacon, eggs can be cooked in numerous ways. They can be scrambled, hard-boiled, poached, pan fried, or made into omelettes. For those who prefer a "hardier" breakfast, a variety of sausage can be added to the menu. Pork sausage and Kielbasa sausage are the most popular. They can be baked and served sliced with warm bread. Although they're delicious, most sausage contains nitrite, a  quantity. However, preferable this group of breakfast food is, it contains too much fat and cholesterol and should be consumed with moderation.

As the most important meal of the day, I wish breakfast would have more alluring choices. While cold cereal has a reasonably good taste, it incorporates too much sugar which has the power to transform a sleepy person into a zombie! Also its redundancy makes the draw of sugar less attractive. Hot cereal, though healthy, does not hold its charm for very long due to the bland taste and curdling texture once it becomes cold. The cholesterol-loaded foods, however, prevail over the rest, but because of the excessive amount of fat in these foods, they're not frequently prepared in most households. Moreover, due to the lack of time in the morning, these laborious meals cannot always be prepared. I now make larger portions for dinner and save the left-overs for breakfast the next morning. This is a healthier alternative, and it also gives me more time to sleep!

WORKERS

Money is the foremost incentive why infinite people work around the world. There are unequal classifications of jobs that contain more physical labor or deskwork. Some work

as rescuers, businessmen, consultants, a student, doctors, or even garbage men. No matter where an individual

works, they will always encounter three types of workers: Hard-Workers, Slackers, and Mediocres.

The Hardworking people have several superb characteristics. These types of people usually goes to work on time or maybe even five or ten minutes early to see what

needs to be accomplished. During the day, it rarely happens that they have to be advised to do something

twice. When they clean rooms or set-up computers, they do it to the best of their ability and recheck everything to make certain it’s working properly. In addition, they tend

to get things done on time and not one second late. Overall, Hardworking people are very responsible and reliable in a

working environment.

Slackers are much different than Hardworking people. They come to work five to ten minutes late without an

excuse. They tend to work hard for the first three or four weeks of the job, but once they observe how the system works, their useless. Slackers hardly work from the time scheduled to the time finished. In addition, they do more viewing and squatting, then moving around and assisting others with equipment. They have to be informed when,

where, and why they have to do...

RESTAURANT CUSTOMERS

“I’ve been here for ten minutes and my server hasn’t taken my order yet!” This is a direct quote from me before I worked at a restaurant. I never looked to see how many tables my server actually had or how much running I made them do. The sad truth is most people do

not notice these details either, which may affect the tip their server will receive. By looking at the attitude and maintenance of restaurant customers, you can classify them into three

categories according to their tipping patterns: the “hmm…how good were they? tippers,” “the “stick-to-the-fifteen-percent tippers,” and the “I-am-or-once-was-a-server tippers”.

The “hmm…how good were they? tippers” stick out as a sore thumb would. They have the attitude of “They are working for me,” and “The whole world revolves around me.” They also say things such as, “Is my food suppose to look like that?” and “Where is my refill?” They are

the customers who always have a disgusted face and are not satisfied with anything. The “hmm…how good were they? Tippers” are not only high maintenance but also the worst

tippers. When the bill comes, they feel they can justify giving a small tip because of their “lack of service”. Many can guess the server likes these customers least. These customers not

only put the server in an angry mood but also the rest of the employees that must hear from that server.

FRIENDS

In life we come across many people. Some will hate us while others will adore us. The ones who hate can be referred to as enemies and the ones who show adoration will be called

friends. In truth, there are three types of friends. They are the aquaintinces he/she makes in school, the friends he/she looses as one grows,

and best friends who may stray, but never too far away.

First of all, there are those friends that are only seen in school. Seeing them on the street is like they are not even there. One may have known

them throughout their whole school career, but have never talked to them outside of school. These school aqquaintinces are nice people to talk to , but there is

never an effort to do anything more than that. These friends are good because there are never any chances to take with them. One just talks to them and then they go on their merry way. These school aqquaintinces are the peopl who are

talked to about different hoobies and class studies. Not ones personal life. School aquaitnices are the people that one will not see for the first time until

the schools ten year reunion.

Second, there are former friends. These are the ones taht grew up in ones neighborhood and moved away. These are the friends who will bring back memories that people thoght were forgotten. One might be embarassed at first

about seeing their former friend, but as soon as conversation ...

Value of College EducationGetting an education is something that is very important and is essential for the growth and development of an individual. By

getting an education, a person is able to rise above the rest and is able to achieve so much more in life. This does not mean

just in terms of monetary or career oriented way, education serves to enlighten the body, the mind, as well as the soul.

College education is a step further and takes a person into realms that can only be understood and appreciated by someone

who has earned a college degree. So many benefits exist for a college education, all of which are impossible to list in the

course of this essay. This classification essay shall attempt to classify some of the benefits that a person can reap from a

college education.

College education has a profound effect on a person and his or her life. It helps people choose their careers more wisely and

the college experience makes people become more confident and can make better and well judged decisions. To get a

higher education is perhaps crossing the biggest milestone of your life. A college education is a very valuable thing and

everyone should get one so that we can all be enlightened and help make our society a better place. A college is a place

where people come together in an environment that helps nurture their educational and professional curiosities. People learn

to read, reflect, explore, listen, argue, and especially, stretch their known boundaries.

A college education helps people and prepares them for the entry into the real world of economics and social bindings.

Students learn what exactly personal freedom is and then they learn how to enjoy that freedom in the real world once the

education has been completed. College teaches people to dream of, to reach their highest aspirations, to choose well, and

to choose wisely. It is sometimes very perplexing to think that many people undermine the value of a college education. A

college is where people go so that their mental capabilities can be thoroughly challenged, where they can grow and mature

as individuals and as future carriers of the society.

People who complete their college education can be spotted out from a group instantly. Such people appear more poised

and confident in every aspect of their lives. I believe that people who complete their college education are the ones who are

most responsible in making a society a better place to live in. If everyone in a society gets a college education, the society

can be improved tenfold because of the values and the traditions that a person learns in college. A college education can

teach a person about his or her moral obligations and helps the people to realize what it is that is missing from their lives. It

has also been noted that people who have had a college education are generally happier in life and that they appear more

sophisticated and enlightened. Such people have a better quality of life as they understand more about the world and can

appreciate the finer things in life such as art, music and theatre much more than a non-graduate.

It has also been noted that people who have a college education tend to be more satisfied as individuals as it helps them to

achieve a greater sense of personal development. They are more at ease within themselves and enjoy more prosperity than

others enjoy. They find great satisfaction in the knowledge that they have achieved their education in life and they tend to

take great pride in that. People meet many different kinds of people at college and this helps prepare them for the life in the

field where one has to interact with all sorts of people who are working. This aids in a person's personal development as

well. Students attending a college learn to write more effectively and to express themselves more clearly. Studying with

students from all different kinds of economic, ethnic and social backgrounds also help the person attending college into

learning more about the world and this brings the people of the world closer as well. People at colleges come from every

aspect of life; a person going to college is bound to interact with his classmates who can come from all sorts of different

countries, cultures and generations. This interaction is another valuable aspect of a college education and it helps shape a

person's personality in a way that is unmatched by any other kind of an institution, whether it be a church or a home. A

person, perhaps, learns the most throughout his or her college years and this not only includes academic education but also

education in the social and political realms. All these things combined are very useful and very necessary for a person to

obtain if he or she wants to lead a happier and brighter life.

CRIME

There are two major types of crimes, natural crimes and legal crimes, which are now referred to as mala per se crimes and mala prohibita crimes, respectively (Crime, 2005). A crime is defined by law as an act, an actus rea, and the intent to commit the act, the mens rea. Criminal intent is defined as "an intellectual apprehension of factual elements of the act or acts commanded or enjoined by the law." This is inferred from the voluntary commission of an overt act.

A person is relieved of criminal liability for an act if they are found to be insane at the time they committed the act, if they were legally a minor when they committed the act, or were acting under coercion or duress which was of such an intensity as to make their commission of the crime involuntary (Crime, 2005). Crimes are usually defined by, and punished according to statutes. Such punishments may include fines, imprisonment, death, forfeiture of property, removal from public office and disqualification from holding public office.

A person cannot be legally indicted or convicted for the commission of a crime unless that crime is expressly defined by statutes as a crime (Crime, 2005). This defines the difference between government by law and a dictatorship. A crime under general law is usually classified as a felony, a misdemeanor or treason. Many offenses cannot be defined exactly, and the rule was adopted that "any immoral act tending to the prejudice of the community was, parse, a crime.

COMPUTER

Computers are available in different shapes, sizes and weights, due to these different shapes and sizes they perform different sorts of jobs from one another. They can also be classified in different ways. All the computers are designed by the qualified computer architectures that design these machines as their requirements. A computer that is used in a home differs in size and shape from the computer being used in a hospital. Computers act as a server in large buildings, while the computer also differs in size and shape performing its job as a weather forecaster. A student carrying a laptop with him to his college is different in shape and size from all the computers mentioned above. Here we are going to introduce different classifications of computers one by one. We will discuss what are in classifications and what job they perform.

Super computer The biggest in size, the most expensive in price than any other is classified and known as super computer. It can process trillions of instructions in seconds. This computer is not used as a PC in a home neither by a student in a college. Governments specially use this type of computer for their different calculations and heavy jobs. Different industries also use this huge computer for designing their products. In most of the Hollywood's movies it is used for animation purposes. This kind of computer is also helpful for forecasting weather reports worldwide.

Mainframes Another giant in computers after the super computer is Mainframe, which can also process millions of instruction per second and capable of accessing billions of data. This computer is commonly used in big hospitals, air line reservations companies, and many other huge companies prefer mainframe because of its capability of retrieving data on a huge basis. This is normally to expensive and out of reach from a salary-based person who wants a computer for his home. This kind of computer can cost up to thousands of dollars.

Minicomputer this computer is next in he line but less offers less than mainframe in work and performance. These are the computers, which are mostly preferred by the small type of business personals, colleges, etc.

Personal computers almost all the computer users are familiar with the personal computers. They normally know what the personal computer is and what are its functions. This is the computer mostly preferred by the home users. These computers are lesser in cost than the computers given above and also, small in size; they are also called PCs in short for Personal computers. This computer is small in size and you can easily arrange it to fit in your single bedroom with its all accommodation. Today this is thought to be the most popular computer in all.

Notebook computers having a small size and low weight the notebook is easy to carry to anywhere. A student can take it with him/her to his/her school in his/her bag with his/her book. This is easy to carry around and preferred by students and business people to meet their assignments and other necessary tasks. The approach of this computer is also the same as the Personal computer. It can store the same amount of data and having a memory of the same size as that of a personal computer. One can say that it is the replacement of personal desktop computer.

DANCE

My topic of this essay is the dance. I chose it because I love dance, I found in this activity distraction and because is a sport and art form that generally refers to movement of the body,

usually rhythmic and to music, is used as a form of expression, social interaction or presented in a spiritual or performance setting. Dance may also be regarded as a form of

nonverbal communication between humans .Every dance, no matter what style, has something in common. It not only involves flexibility and body movement, but also physics. If

the proper physics is not taken into consideration, injuries may occur. BODY

Dancing can be magical and transforming. It can breathe new life into a tired soul; make a spirit soar; unleash locked-away creativity; unite generations and cultures; inspire new

romances or rekindle old ones; trigger long-forgotten memories; and turn sadness into joy, if only during the dance.

On a more physical level, dancing can give you a great mind-body workout. Researchers are learning that regular physical activity in general can help keep your body, including your

brain, healthy as you age. Exercise increases the level of brain chemicals that encourage nerve cells to grow. And dancing that requires you to remember dance steps and sequences

boosts brain power by improving memory skills. Dance can give us a lot of benefits, the three most important that I considered are physical health or dance therapy, the body health and the dance also helps in our social life. This

benefits has been explained in the body of this essay. I started with the physical health this is one form about dance that calls the dance therapy, but what it is? Dance therapy, or dance movement therapy is the psychotherapeutic use of movement and dance for emotional, cognitive, social, behavioural and physical conditions. Dance movement therapy strengthens the body/mind connection through body movements

TEEN DATING VIOLENCE ESSAY

Society needs to teach teenagers that when dating someone, are should never be hurt or feel afraid. In one study, from 30 to 50 percent of female high school students reported having

alredy experienced teen dating violence. Dating violence isn´t an argument every once in a while, or bad mood after a bad day. Dating violence (or relationship abuse) is a pattern of

violent behavior. It can happen to anyone, at any age, no matter what race or religion they are, no matter what

their level of education or economic background. Sometimes we can´t recognize the importance of this problem. But for example, my friend was in an abusive situation. I told her she should think about getting out. He made all the decisions for her, told her she couldn´t go

out with her friends anymore. It isn’t healthy to have someone controlling you.A lot of people who are verbally or physically abused think it’s their fault, so it’s really hard for them to tell someone they need help. No matter what type of relationship you are in, breaking up can be a difficult task. But one relationship must be respectful. Here's some of the reasons

why its hard to break-up. Many times the abuser will threaten to hurt the victim if she/he decides to leave. Teens who ask for help (especially from parents) may perceive themselves

to be failures.. Dating violence can range from broken bones and bruised self-esteem to permanent injury

and even death. Victims may also come to view abuse as a normal part of their relationships. If abused teenagers have heard a group of teens their age talking about abuse, maybe it

would have prevented teens from getting into that situations. Sometimes teens want to solve our problems on our own. And we don’t want to get anyone in trouble, or betray a friend’s

confidence. But sometimes these things are too big to handle all by ourselves.   It´s noy easy being a teen these days. Society put all kinds of pressure on teen

HURRICANE VS TORNADO

We have all seen the destruction that Mother Nature has brought in the last few months, first with the hurricanes and now with the tornadoes. But what do these

phenomenons have in common and where do they differ. A hurricane is a huge storm! It can be up to 600 miles across and have strong winds spiraling inward and upward at speeds of 75 to 200 mph. Hurricanes only form over really warm ocean water of 80°F or warmer. The air must cool off very quickly the higher you go. Also, the wind must be blowing in the same direction and at the same speed to force air upward from the ocean surface. Winds flow outward above the storm allowing the air below to rise. A

tornado is a violent rotating column of air extending from a thunderstorm to the ground. The most violent tornadoes are capable of tremendous destruction with wind

speeds of up to 300 mph. They can destroy large buildings, uproot trees, and hurl vehicles hundreds of yards. They can also drive straw into trees. Damage paths can be

in excess of one mile wide to 50 miles long. Hurricanes gather heat and energy through contact with warm ocean waters. Evaporation from the seawater increases

their power. Hurricanes rotate in a counter-clockwise direction around an "eye." The center of the storm or "eye" is the calmest part. It has only light winds and fair weather. When they come onto land, the heavy rain, strong winds, and large waves can damage buildings, trees, and cars. Hurricanes usually last for over a week, moving 10-20 miles per hour over the open

ocean Tornadoes are much more unpredictable and do not last as long as hurricanes, but they can be as destructive or even more than a hurricane. Their unpredictability

makes it impossible to prepare for them. On the other hand tornados last less than an hour so the destruction is “limited† compare to a hurricane. Before thunderstorms

develop, a change in wind direction and an increase in wind speed with increasing height create an invisible, horizontal spinning effect in the lower atmosphere. Rising

air within the updraft tilts the rotating air from horizontal to vertical. An area of rotation, two to six miles wide, now extends through much of the storm. Most strong and violent tornadoes form within this area of strong rotation. Hurricanes are created over oceans usually southeast or southwest coast. And that is where they cause the most damage. Hurricane season starts at the end of summer and lasts 4 months. The tornadoes create over land and occur mostly in the Midwest. The usual seasons for

tornadoes are the hot summer days with the peak in May-June, but they can happen at any time of the year and any time of the day. Another element that accompanies both

this disasters is rain. In hurricanes, rain is another element that makes them that much more dangerous. The eye of the hurricane creates a storm surge, a wall of water up to 30 feet high, and with the constant rain down purring that wall becomes even higher.

In tornadoes rain turns into hail, with a powerful force for destruction. Hurricanes and tornadoes are very different from each other, from how they create to where they hit

the most, to how long they last. But the one characteristic that put these natural events together is their powerful destruction that they bring to anyone on their path

Catcher In The Rye

Why do you think that Holden Caulfield has psychological problems? What may have caused them? Find evidence in the novel

Holden Caulfield had psychological problems, considering that the novel started with him in the mental hospital and ended in the same place. There are many reasons why I think that Holden Caulfield has psychological problems; I believe it is because he suffered from his

younger brother’s death, saw a student in Pencey committing suicide, and failed most of the school.

Maria Alejandra Mendez-Body Paragraph 1      The first reason that might have caused Holden a psychological problem is, he had to suffer the death of his little brother Allie, who died by the disease of leukemia. This event

might have caused him a lot of shock and misery. The evidence for such assumption is when Holden broke the window in the garage. “He’s dead now. He got leukemia and died when we

were up in Maine, on July 18, 1946.” “I was only thirteen, and they were going to have me psychoanalyzed and all, because I broke all the windows in the garage.” (Page38)

Juliana Rueda – Body Parragraph 2The next reason why I think Holden has a psychological problem is when he was at Pencey School. There was a guy who Holden knew that had committed suicide by tossing his body.

Holden had seen that directly by his own eyes, which is shocking in the eyes of a young child. This is the reason why I think he also had problem on it. “He was the one that finally picked

up that boy that jumped out the window I told you about, James Castle.” (page174)Esteban Cruz/body paragraph 3

For the last, Pencey was the school that he had moved for the 4th time, because he was expelled for lots of problem. However, he got expelled again for failing all the subjects except

one. He decided to run away before his parents knew it.
