CONTEST ObJECTIVES 1. To help publicize the activities of all Agricultural Societies and fairs in the OAAS. 2. To create real pride in the creation of well-kept grounds and buildings. 3. To encourage more attractive staging of exhibitions and displays. 4. To educate and provide a source of PRIDE in a community’s development. 5. To communicate new ideas to other Fairs. 6. To contribute to a library of images for OAAS promotions.
RULES aNd REGULaTIONS:1. All photos must be taken at the 2016 Hymers Fall Fair.2. All prints, 4”x6” or 5”x7” are to be mounted on bristol board with approximately 1” border with category and fair name on back.3. NO Professional Photographers permitted.4. Absolutely NO digital image ENHaNCING allowed.5. Please do not use tape on CDs or photographs.6. All photos and CDs will become the property of the Hymers Agricultural Society. Hymers Agricultural Society may use photos for pubilicity purposes.7. Exhibitor may enter only once in each section.8. Judging will be done by a committee approved by the Hymers Agricultural Society executive.9. All winning photos will be sent to the O.A.A.S. Best Dressed Cowboys and Cowgirls at the Fair!Each participant should dress in “cowboy and cowgirl” style clothing including boots, cowboy hats, and assorted western attire. They may choose to wear jeans, shirts, skirts, dresses, chaps or vests. They may also choose assorted western accessories such as lariats, spurs, etc. NO WEAPONS OF ANY KIND MAY BE WORN OR USED AS AN ACCESSORY AND NO LIVE ANIMALS WILL BE ALLOWED.

The Hymers Agricultural Society prints a prize list book every year for the participants of the Hymers Fall Fair. We would like your picture to appear on the cover of this book in 2017.
The Rules:1. You must bring your design to the Office of the Hymers Fall Fair on Sunday,
September 4TH for judging in order to win (Winner will be announced on Monday), or mail before Fair Weekend to 97 Cox Crescent, Thunder Bay, Ontario P7A 7K7
2. You must be in grades 1 to 6 (ages 6 to 12, at the end of the 2015-2016 school year)3. Your drawing must celebrate the 2017 Theme: “Sow it, Grow it, Show it!”.4. Designs are to be done on white 8 ½” X 11” sheet of paper5. Designs are to be done in colour, no embellishments (sparkles, beads, etc.), no stencils, all hand-drawn please6. Designs are not to be done on the computer7. Your name, grade, school and home phone number must be on the back of the

1 Submit one 4” X 6” AMATEUR photo of your child born between September 1st, 2015 and August 15, 2016. The child’s name and birth date must accompany the photo along with the parents’ name, address and phone number. (Do not write on front or back of photo.) Photo must be received by 5:00 p.m. Saturday, September 3, 2016.2 Photos will be displayed on the Fairgrounds on Sunday, September 4 & Monday, September 5, 2016.3 Guests of the Fair will be eligible to vote by secret ballot for their favourite photo.4 Ballots will be counted after the Fair is closed.5 Prizes will be awarded for the three photos with the most votes.
