Course Descriptions:
ENTR 200 - Pathways to Success
1 Unit, 8-Week Format
Promotes entrepreneurial thinking across disciplines and
assists participants in developing a process for
transforming ideas into sustainable success. The course
includes individualized learning assessments designed to
assist the student in exploring their frameworks of
thought and entrepreneurial potential.
Entrepreneurship - Dream . . . Discover . . . Do . . . ENTR 201 - Creativity and Idea Generation
1 Unit, 8-Week Format
Helps students discover that creativity is a process that can
be learned. Students will explore the use of creativity tools
and processes to develop solutions for business problems.
ENTR 202 - Innovations and Opportunities
2 Units, 8-Week Hybrid Format
Helps students develop mental frameworks that enable them
to link invention and insight as a means to create social and economic value.
ENTR 211 - Business Models
2 Units, 8-Week Hybrid Format
Helps student understand the profitability and the process of
identifying business goals, developing strategic objectives,
critical success factors, and key performance indicators for
entrepreneurial endeavors.
ENTR 212 - Market Validation and Research
1 Unit, 8-Week Format
Explores a variety of available research resources, tools, and
techniques for collecting and analyzing market research data.
Students discover how to implement a market validation
strategy and learn how to do more with marketing while
spending less.
ENTR 117 - Social Media Marketing
3 Units, 16-Week Hybrid Format
This course introduces social media tools used for marketing
in business. Topics include use of social networking and
creating an online presence. Students create a social media
marketing campaign using Web applications, such as
Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter. Also listed as CIM 217;
credit given in either area, not both.
ENTR 221 - Money, Accounting, and Finance for
Entrepreneurs
2 Units, 8-Week Hybrid Format
Examines tools and practices necessary for entrepreneurs to
access financing, manage cash flow, and measure financial
performance.
ENTR 222 - Business Structure and Legal
Requirements
1 Unit, 8-Week Format
Examines the primary forms of business structure, i.e.
sole proprietorship, partnership, and corporation, and
legal elements needed to comply with regulations and
guidelines of various governmental agencies.
ENTR 223 - Building the Entrepreneurial Team
2 Units, 8-Week Hybrid Format Designed to help entrepreneurs build successful
management teams and personal partnerships with great
coaches, mentors, and advisors, who can help them to
make the most of their own potential and to develop
their business ideas.
ENTR 224 - Operations Management for
Entrepreneurs
1 Unit, 8-Week Format
Investigates differences between the entrepreneurial
environment and the operations environment. Examines
the set of actions that are necessary to produce goods
and services effectively and efficiently.
ENTR 241 - The Successful Business Plan
2 Units, 8-Week Hybrid Format
Provides a systematic process for developing a business
plan.
ENTR 242 - Persuasive Presentations
2 Units, 8-Week Hybrid Format
Provides students with the opportunity to collaborate
and use business plans as the foundation for crafting the
story of their business that will engage others to be a
part of that story.
MGT 160 - Entrepreneurship: Managing Your
Business
3 Units, 16-Week Online & Traditional Formats
Introduces key elements of entrepreneurship and small
business development. Provides preparation for
individuals seeking to engage in entrepreneurial ventures.
