Dear Students,

The holidays have begun,

It’s time for us to have some fun. We

can stroll here and there,

all by ourselves or in pairs. We can

sleep when we want, we can

frequent all our haunts.

We have time to see the flowers, and

observe all the stars.

A variety of greens and a

sea of scenes.

Holidays are about to begin! Vacations help you get a space for yourself. Not only are they long, refreshing and rejuvenating but they also provide you with an opportunity to explore the new world out of your textual sphere.

You can spend quality time with your family, relatives and friends and at the same time, indulge in activities that will enhance your personality.

Let us go through the basic rules for your holidays!! Just follow them to maximize your fun and

minimize boredom.

Get up early so that you can start your day with a refreshing walk with your grandparents,

parents or friends.

Converse with your friends and family in English and teach someone who cannot read or write,

a few words in English.

Read the suggested books and find the meanings of the new words. Use these words in your

conversations.

Get together with your family for at least one meal of the day. Discuss the news or the

happenings of that day.

Help your mother daily by doing some household chores.

Keep a bowl of water for birds in a shady spot. Keep it clean and replenish it regularly.

Find out about which plants grow best in summer. Grow one plant in a pot, take care of it

and share your experience with your class after the summer break.

Visit your grandparents or any elder in your family and learn more about their life.

learn a simple flameless recipe from your mother and surprise your father with a breakfast

dish on Father’s Day.

Maintain a ‘Daily Diary’ from May 15 to June 15, 2018. Record all your activities, feelings, emotions etc. in this diary.

We hope you will enjoy doing the suggested activities. Creativity and originality of the work will be appreciated. Compile and put your holiday homework in a scrap book.

History of Cinema

The movie industry as we know it today originated in the early 19th century through a series of technological developments: the creation of photography, the discovery of the illusion of motion by combining individual still images and the study of human and animal locomotion. Since then, the industry has seen extraordinary transformations, some driven by the artistic visions of individual participants, some by commercial necessities, and still others by accident. The history of the cinema is complex. Research and learn more about the history of cinema and the cinematic eras. Make a creative, picturesque and interesting fact file on the History of Cinema using OO04Kids Writer or Ms-Word.
