What are the themes in Year 2?
How can parents/carers help? Reading to your child and listening to your
child read every night.
Supporting your child with their homework. PE kit in school on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Swimming kit on Tuesdays (terms 1, 3 & 6).
How can parents/carers help?
Allowing us to borrow your treasured possessions for our themes!
souvenirs from Australia, eg. books, photos, travel brochures, cuddly toys, musical instruments, coins, etc.
How are children assessed in Year 2?
Every child is given a level of attainment at the end of year 2. This shows whether your child is at the expected level for their age, below the expected level or above the expected level.
But more importantly, we determine how much progress your child has made through the year.
Examples of children’s writing:
Below expected level for age...
At expected level for age...
Above expected level for age...
And Finally…
The progress that each and every child makes is important to us.
We are committed to putting your Children First.
