2013 CLARKS LANDING MARINA ~ FISH ‘N FOR THE CAUSE Family Fluke, Bluefish & Striped Bass Tournament

OFFICIAL TOURNAMENT RULES & REGULATIONS

1. Tournament is limited to 300 boats. One representative should attend Captain’s Meeting on Thursday night, June 6th, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. At that time they will receive the Captain’s Package which includes a T-shirt, hat and entry numbers. The revised Rules & Regulations will be reviewed.

2. Maximum of six fishermen per boat. Maximum of six lines in water. * Additional 2 lines permitted for children 12 years or younger, MUST be registered.

3. There is no weather day. Captain and crew make decisions whether to fish or not. Captain and crew fish at their own risk. If there are no eligible fish caught for prizes, a drawing will be held on Sunday June 9th, 2013. The State Record Fish Categories will only be awarded if a winning fish is caught.

4. Entry cards must be dropped off at Clarks Landing Marina starting at 6:00 a.m. Friday June 7th, 2013 before entrant can leave to go fishing. No lines in water before 6:30 a.m.

5. Entry cards must be dropped off at Clarks Landing Marina starting 6:00 a.m. Saturday June 8th, 2013 before entrant can leave to go fishing. No lines in water before 6:30 a.m.

6. Entry cards must be dropped off at Clarks Landing Marina starting 6:00 a.m. Sunday June 9th, 2013 before entrant can leave to go fishing. No lines in water before 6:30 a.m.

7. ALL BOATS MUST DROP OFF ENTRY CARDS EACH MORNING TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR TOURNAMENT. Entry number must be posted in a window of the boat.

8. Tournament officials reserve the right to inspect any boat at any time during the tournament. 9. Prizes will be awarded by weight. All fish must be weighed in at Clarks Landing Marina NO LATER than 4:00 p.m.

Friday June 7th 4:00 p.m. Saturday June 8 and 3:00 p.m. Sunday June 9 by tournament officials. Entries limited to th th

two (2) fish in each category (total of 6 fish) that may be weighed in each day (additional 1 fish per species for each child registered in tournament). All fish become property of the tournament to be donated to Lunch Break Soup Kitchen in Red Bank, NJ.

10. The Combined Weight Awards will be presented to one angler in the Bluefish Division, one angler in the Striped Bass Division and one angler in the Fluke Division. Winners will be determined by the largest combined weight of two Bluefish for the Bluefish Division Award, two Striped Bass for the Striped Bass Division Award and two Fluke for the Fluke Division Award. Any pair of fish entered must be caught on the same boat. In the event of a tie, first fish weighed in holds the position.

11. The State Record Catch Award will be awarded to an angler who breaks the N.J. State Record for any one of the three species of fish - Fluke, Bluefish or Striped Bass. Only one pick-up truck is awarded. In the event that two or more records are broken, the first fish weighed in will receive the pick-up truck.

12. All fish considered for place in the tournament will be inspected by a tournament official. Their decision concerning the eligibility of the fish is to be final. All winners could be subject to a polygraph test. Results are final.

13. All protests must be made in writing no later than 3:30 p.m. Sunday June 9th, 2013. All entrants agree that the decision of the Tournament Committee will be final.

14. Start and finish times will be by official clock only. 15. In case of two (2) fish of equal weight, first fish weighed in holds position. 16. 2013 Minimum State Requirements for all Bluefish, Fluke and Striped Bass. Any fish brought back to the dock under

these minimum weights will not be eligible for prizes. 17. Each boat entry is eligible to win one tournament prize. The only exceptions are the State Record Catch Award, the

Combined Weight Award and the Children’s Division Award which may be won in combination with any other prize. 18. Rod and Reel only. There shall be no restriction on the line test used. Outriggers, planners and live bait are permitted. 19. Prizes will be awarded to boat owners registered in the tournament. 20. No commercial fishing boats. Six man and less private charter boats are eligible. 21. All anglers, boats and clubs enter tournament at their own risk. 22. Payment of individual federal and state taxes for all cash and prize awards are understood to be the responsibility of the

winners. 23. The applicant has read and agrees to carry out and abide by all rules and regulations of said tournament, as set forth, and

to abide by any amendments that may be made. 24. GOOD SPORTSMANSHIP WILL BE APPRECIATED.

SAFETY 1. All boats participating should be equipped with all Coast guard Approved Safety Equipment and VHF Radio. 2. Participants are expected to practice good safety throughout the tournament.
