repertoire. If you are able to improvise in any idiom,please
include a sample.
7. Excerpts or additional works of candidate’s choice that
demonstrate ability on other doubling instruments,i.e. woodwinds,
guitar, piano, voice etc. This is not required, but encouraged.

Primary Duties of this PositionPerform clarinet in the Concert
and Marching Band, and other Chamber Music groups as needed.
Additionalconsideration will be given to candidates with other
marketable musical or non-musical skills which should bereflected
in the applicant's resume. Examples of other skills might include
arts administration experience,recording engineering experience,
graphic design, or any other skills that may be valuable in a
large, self -produced performing ensemble.
General Information
The West Point Band performs concerts, ceremonies, and at
athletic events for the U.S. Corps of Cadets.The ensembles perfor m
at concert venues around the Greater Hudson Valley, New York City,
andthroughout the United States. The band also regularly performs
at professional sporting events and hasbeen featured in television
specials for FOX News, CBS Sports, and HISTORY.
Military personnel should also submit their Enlisted
Records Brief, three years of performance evaluationreports,
Commander’s Intent to Release memo, and an Official DA Photo.
Employment is contingent upon meeting Army enlistment
qualifications and a minimum four- year servicecontract.

An assignment in the West Point Band is stabilized. Promotion to
Staff Sergeant is awarded upon Commander’s approval after
the completion of Initial Entry Training, unit-specific
proficiency training, and eight weeks successful performance in
the
organization. Finalists will be invited to audition at West
Point at government expense pending enlistment qualification
and
funding approval. Finalists will be individually notified via
