Technical Specification

1. SCOPE : This specification covers the manufacturing , testing and supply( FOR Destination) of X - Arm Holding Clamp with Nut & Bolt for 8.5 M. Long P.C.C. Pole .

A. SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:

1.1 The X - Arm Clamp shall be fabricated out of tested quality M.S.Flat of size 50 mm x 6 mm by forging. Mild Steel used for the clamp shall conform to the IS:226:1975. The Clamp shall have the dimensions as shown in the drawing . The Clamps shall be free from any cracks, welding joints and burrs. Each X - Arm Clamp shall be provided with 2 holes of 18 mm. dia to accomodate the bolts of 16 mm. size. The holes shall be made by punching and these shall be circular & regular.

1.2 The Clamp shall be supplied with Nut & Bolt and washers. 1.3 A complete and finished Clamp ( without nut & bolt and washer ) shall weight 1.08

Kg. on an average ( with a tolerance of minus one percent ).

Executive Engineer (W)


1. SCOPE : This specification covers the manufacturing , testing and supply( FOR Destination) of F-Bracket for 8.5 M. Long P.C.C. Pole with Nut & Bolt.

1.1 The 'F' bracket shall be fabricated out of tested quality M.S.Flat of 50mm x 8 mm size by forging.The second leg shall be properly welded. All the dimensions shall be as per drawing.Mild Steel used shall conform to IS 226:1975. The 'F' Clamps ( bracket ) shall be free from any cracks, joints and burrs. The holes shall be made by punching as shown in the drawing and these shall be circular and regular.

1.2 The Clamp shall be supplied with Nut & Bolt and washers.

1.3 A complete and finished Clamp ( without nut & bolt and washer ) shall weight 1.46 Kg. on an average ( with a tolerance of plus / minus one percent ).



1. SCOPE : This specification covers the manufacturing , testing and supply( FOR Destination) of STAY CLAMP for 8.5 M. Long P.C.C. Pole with Nut & Bolt.

1.1 The Stay Clamp shall be fabricated out of tested quality M.S.Flat of size 50 mm x 6 mm by forging. Mild Steel used for the clamp shall conform to the IS:226:1975. The Clamp shall have the dimensions as shown in the drawing . The Clamps shall be freee from any cracks, welding joints and burrs.The holes shall be made by punching and these shall be circular & regular and suitable for 16 mm dia bolt.

1.2 The Clamp shall be supplied with Nut & Bolt .

1.3 A complete and finished Clamp ( without nut & bolt ) shall weight 1.93 Kg. on an average ( with a tolerance of plus / minus one percent ).



1. SCOPE : This specification covers the manufacturing , testing and supply( FOR Destination) of L.T.Shackel Insulator with Nut & Bolt.

1.1 The L.T.Shackel Insulator shall be of size 100 mm x 115 mm . The Insulator shall conform to the IS:1445:1966. The Clamp shall have the dimensions as shown in the drawing No.RESSPO-28. The Insulator should be free from any crack.



1. SCOPE : This specification covers the manufacturing , testing and supply( FOR Destination) of LOOP Insulator.

1.1 The LOOP Insulator shall be of size 100 mm x 65 mm . The Insulator shall conform to the IS:1445:1966. The Clamp shall have the dimensions as per sample. The Insulator should be free from any crack.



1. SCOPE : This specification covers the manufacturing , testing and supply( FOR Destination) of Transformer Holding Clamp with Nut & Bolt.

1.1 The Transformer Holding Clamp shall be fabricated out of tested quality M . S . Flat of size 75 mm x 8 mm by forging . Mild Steel used for the clamp shall conform to the IS:226:1975. The Clamp shall have the dimensions as shown in the drawing 1/HVDS/R. The Clamps shall be free from any cracks, welding joints and burrs.




1. SCOPE : This specification covers the manufacturing , testing and supply( FOR Destination) of L.T. Clamp for 8.5 M. Long P.C.C. Pole with Nut & Bolt.

1.1 The Clamp shall be fabricated out of tested quality M.S.Flat of size 50 mm x 6 mm by forging. Mild Steel used for the clamp shall conform to the IS:226:1975. The Clamp shall have the dimensions as shown in the drawing . Wherein 'A' indicates the width of the pole at the place where the clamp has to be fitted . The clamp shall have two holes at each end of 18 mm dia , and 18 mm dia round bend as per drawing . The holes shall be circular and regular and shall be made by punching. The Clamps shall be free from any cracks, welding joints and burrs.


1.3 A complete and finished Clamp ( without nut & bolt ) shall weight 1.99 Kg. on an average ( with a tolerance of plus / minus one percent ).


Technical Specification(A)

1. SCOPE : This specification covers the manufacturing , testing and supply ( FORDestination) of LT Distribution Box as per RESSPO Drawing No 2/ HVDS/RESSPO.

A. SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:

1.1 L.T. Distribution box shall be suitable for mounting on 8.5 Meter PCC Pole. It shall be made out of 20 SEG M.S. sheet of uniform thickness. It shall be mounted on the PCC Pole with the helo of 2 numbers holding clamps to be supplied with LTDB as per drawing no. 3/HVDS/ RESPO. It shall be complete with 35X5 mm aluminium strip for phase and earth bus. The earth bus shall be mounted in the box with the help of suitable cast iron ferrule. The phase bus shall be mounted in the box with the help of porcelain Insulator, as per details shown in drawing no. 3/HVDS/RESPO.The distribution box will have holes, as shown in drawing no. 2/HVDS/RESPO one number for incoming L.T. cable of size 16/10 mm sq. and four number for out going L.T. cable of size 6 mm sq. for giving connection to consumers.The distribution box shall be complete as detailed in above Drawing with 2 Nos. M.S. bolts and nuts of suitable size. It shall be painted with two coats of drak admiralty gray paint of good quality from inside and outside. The painting will be done after proper cleaning of the surfaces first with one coat of red oxide paint.The drawing Nos. 2/HVDS/ RESPO and 3/ HVDS/ RESPO are enclosed.

(B)

2. SCOPE : This specification covers the manufacturing , testing and supply ( FORDestination) of LT Distribution Box Holding Clamp as per RESSPO Drawing No 3/HVDS/RESSPO.

2.1 The Holding Clamp shall be fabricated out of tested quality M.S.Flat of size 40 x 6 mm by forging. Mild Steel used for the clamp shall conform to the IS:226:1975. The Clamp shall have the dimensions as shown in the drawing . The Clamps shall be freee from any cracks, welding joints and burrs.The holes shall be made by punching and these shall be circular & regular..The Clamp shall be supplied with suitable Nut & Bolts .


(A) GENERAL REQUIREMENTS :

(i) The clamps covered above shall be painted with one coat of red oxide primer paint. The red oxide paint shall conform to IS:5660/1970 or latest version thereof. The red oxide paint shall be applied after proper cleaning of clamp's surface.

(ii) The tolerence in length shall not be more than plus/minus one percent.

(iii) The average weight shall be worked out by weighing 10 clamps ( same category ) together , selected at random .The tolerance in weight shall be as specified .

(i) In case of any ambiguity in the above technical specification/ drawing , the technical Specification / drawing prevailing / approved by RESSPO shall be final.

(B) INSPECTION AND TESTING :

Inspection and testing shall be carried out before receipt of material either at Store or at Firms / Manufacturers Works as per applicable rules of U.P.Power Corporation Limited.

(C) ACCEPTANCE TESTS :

(i) Visual Examination(ii) Dimensional Check(iii) Weight Check

(Acceptance tests shall be carried out on minimum 1% of the quantity offered for inspection)

(E) ROUTINE TESTS :

(i) Visual Examination.(ii) Chemical Analysis ( Material conforming to ISS : 226-1975 or latest

version ).(iii) Dimensional Check.(iv) Weight Check.

(F) PACKING :

The Clamps shall be supplied in bare lots of 30 to 50 clamps ( so as to weigh not more than 60 Kg.) of same type, suitably bound and fastened for safe rail/ road transport.

(F) MARKING :

The words "PuVVNL" and abbreviated name of the manufacturer shall be punched before application of primer paints , on the clamp and on each pieces of the clamp where it is in two or more pieces.

(G) INFORMATION

A metalic tag shall be fixed firmly to each packed lot bearing following information :-

(i) Manufacturers name / trade mark.(ii) Type of Clamp.(iii) Packing lot No.(iv) No. of Clamps.(v) Total Weight.



1. SCOPE : This specification covers the manufacturing , testing and supply( FOR Destination) of Top Channel Holding Clamp for 8.5 M. Long P.C.C. Pole with Nut & Bolt.

1.1 The Top Channel Holding Clamp shall be fabricated out of tested quality M . S . Flat of size 50 mm x 6 mm by forging Mild Steel used for the clamp shall conform to the IS:226:1975. The Clamps shall be free from any cracks, welding joints and burrs. The Clamp shall have the dimensions as per sample.

1.2 The Clamp shall be supplied with Nut & Bolt of size 65 mm x 16 mm.



1. SCOPE : This specification covers the manufacturing , testing and supply( FOR Destination) of Tee - off Channel Holding Clamp for 8.5 M. Long P.C.C. Pole with Nut & Bolt.

1.1 The T - Off Channel Holding Clamp shall be fabricated out of tested quality M . S . Flat of size 50 mm x 6 mm by forging . Mild Steel used for the clamp shall

conform to the IS:226:1975. The Clamps shall be free from any cracks and burrs. The holes shall be made by punching and these shall be circular & regular. The Clamp shall have the dimensions as per sample.




1. SCOPE : This specification covers the manufacturing , testing and supply( FOR Destination) of Guarding Angle Holding Clamp for 8.5 M. Long P.C.C. Pole with Nut & Bolt.

1.1 The Guarding Angle Holding Clamp shall be fabricated out of tested quality M.S. Flat of size 50 mm x 6 mm by forging Mild Steel used for the clamp shall conform to the IS:226:1975. The Clamps shall be free from any cracks, joints and burrs.The holes shall be made by punching and these shall be circular & regular. The Clamp shall have the dimensions as per sample.

1.2 The Clamp shall be supplied with 2 Nos. 5/8'' x 3'' Nut & Bolt .



1. SCOPE : This specification covers the manufacturing , testing and supply( FOR Destination) of E-Bracket for P.C.C. Pole ( 11 KV ) with Nut & Bolt.

1.1 The 'E' bracket shall be fabricated out of tested quality M.S.Flat of 50 mm x 8 mm size by forging as per drawing (RES-19).The second leg shall be properly welded. All the dimensions shall be as per sample. Mild Steel used shall conform to IS 226:1975. The 'E' bracket shall be free from any cracks,joints and burrs. The holes shall be made by punching as shown in the Drawing and these shall be circular and regular. The Bracket should be as per RESSPO Drawing No. RES-19.




1. SCOPE : This specification covers the manufacturing , testing and supply( FOR Destination) of X - Arm Holding Clamp with Nut & Bolt for 11 Meter Long S.T. Pole .

B. SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:

1.1 The X - Arm Clamp shall be fabricated out of tested quality M.S.Flat of size 50 mm x 6 mm by forging. Mild Steel used for the clamp shall conform to the IS:226:1975. The Clamp shall have the dimensions as shown in the drawing . The Clamps shall be free from any cracks, welding joints and burrs. Each X - Arm Clamp shall be provided with 2 holes of 18 mm. dia to accomodate the bolts of 16 mm. size. The holes shall be made by punching and these shall be circular & regular.




1. SCOPE : This specification covers the manufacturing , testing and supply

( FOR Destination) of F-Bracket with Nut & Bolt for 11 Meter Long S.T. Pole .

1.1 The 'F' bracket shall be fabricated out of tested quality M.S.Flat of 50mm x 8 mm size by forging.The second leg shall be properly welded. All the dimensions shall be as per drawing.Mild Steel used shall conform to IS 226:1975. The 'F' Clamps ( bracket ) shall be free from any cracks, joints and burrs. The holes shall be made by punching as shown in the drawing and these shall be circular and regular.




1. SCOPE : This specification covers the manufacturing , testing and supply

( FOR Destination) of STAY CLAMP with Nut & Bolt for 11 Meter Long S.T. Pole

1.1 The Stay Clamp shall be fabricated out of tested quality M.S.Flat of size 50 mm x 6 mm by forging. Mild Steel used for the clamp shall conform to the IS:226:1975. The Clamp shall have the dimensions as shown in the drawing . The Clamps shall be freee from any cracks, welding joints and burrs.The holes shall be made by punching and these shall be circular & regular and suitable for 16 mm dia bolt.



(D)

4. SCOPE : This specification covers the manufacturing , testing and supply ( FOR Destination) of P.G. Clamps for Dog Conductor.

D. SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:4.1 Total Requirement : 750 nos.4.2 The Clamp shall be made of Aluminium and must be of the dimensions of the

sample .4.3 The Clamp shall be supplied with suitable Nut & Bolts ( Galvanized ) .


(F)

6. SCOPE : This specification covers the manufacturing , testing and supply ( FOR Destination) of P.G. Clamps for Dog Conductor.

F. SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:

6.1 Total Requirement : 120 nos.6.2 The Clamp shall be made of Aluminium and must be of the dimensions of the

sample .6.3 The Clamp shall be supplied with suitable Nut & Bolts ( Galvanized ) .


3.0 STAY INSULATOR .

3.1 The Stay Insulator shall be as per sample . The Insulator shall conform to the IS:1445:1966. The Insulator should be free from any crack.

3.2 Total Requirement : 700 nos.4. SCOPE : This specification covers the manufacture , testing and supply ( FOR Destination) of Eye Bolt.

D. SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:

4. SCOPE : This specification covers the manufacturing , testing and supply ( FOR Destination) of Eye Bolt.

4.1 Total Requirement : 5000 nos .4.2 The Bolt shall be of size 5/8" x 8". 4.3 The Eye Bolt shall have the dimensions as per sample.
