Registration Information Registration begins Saturday, February 15, 2020 at 10:00 AM www.SDRECCONNECT.com
Returning customers (previously registered for classes online) - Click the “My Account” button. Enter the login (email address) and password. Log in with this password to activate the account.
New Accounts click on the “Create Account” button. Fill out the new account request form completely, including all required fields (date of birth, gender, email, address, etc.) and click submit. Please submit the request only once. Registrant will receive a confirmation email at the email address provided. Please follow directions provided to activate account.
-Parents/Guardians must create an account first—using parent/guardian information. Once the parent/guardian have an online registration account a child may be added. Children under 18 years must be registered by their parent/legal guardians. NO EXCEPTIONS!
-Historically, only a few classes fill to capacity on the first day of registration; early registration is recommended for best availability. When classes fill to capacity, waiting lists are formed. To insure program quality for all participants, no exceptions are made regarding class enrollment sizes.
-Programs may be cancelled if the minimum enrollment requirement is not met 48 hours prior to the start of the first class. Early registration is highly recommended.
-All participants must meet age requirements. -Look for the 5 digit ActiveNet Codes [12345] for easier search of each program in this brochure.
Volunteers Needed Ongoing opportunities are available at recreation centers, pools and regional parks throughout the City, as well as with senior and therapeutic recreational programs. If you would like to volunteer, please see staff for more information, or contact the Volunteer Office at (619) 525-8231 or visit www.SanDiego.gov.
Payment Information Beginning October 4,2019 the City of San Diego Parks and Recreation Department will no longer accept cash or personal checks as payment for obtaining park permits, participation in recreation leagues, class registration, weight room fees/memberships, multi-day pool passes and merchandise sales. Payment is required at the time of registration.
To pay for permits and programming, the City will accept the following forms of payment:
• Credit cards, debit cards, or gift cards • Electronic Check Processing (ECP) from
customer’s checking account Effective February 17, 2018, all transactions will be charged a non-refundable 3% credit card processing fee. *This convenience fee is charged by the company that provides the credit card processing service. Credit cards accepted: Visa MasterCard Discover American Express
NSF Policy The Non-Sufficient Funds policy is intended for all declined Electronic check payments. Payment must be received by appointment with
Center Director within 72 hours A $25.00 NSF returned check fee will be applied
to the total amount due

Refund Policy Written refund applications must be submitted, using the Application for Miscellaneous Refund Form (COM-6), in person at the facility where the program occurs. Refunds will be processed in accordance with the following policy: Cancelations - If a recreation class or program is cancelled by the City, a full refund of activity fees will be issued except the City will retain the following: -3% processing Fees -Activity fees less than $10.00 (excludes processing fees) -No refund or transfer for non-attendance at any class -No credits to account -No refunds for costumes or equipment. Classes - Refund requests will be granted based on the following requirements: 97% refund - 3 or more calendar day prior to
the first day of class 75% refund - less than 3 calendar days prior to
the first day of class No refund for requests submitted more than 24
hours after the first class meeting Camps - Refund requests will be granted based on the following requirements: 97% refund - 10 calendar days prior to the
first day of camp 50% refund - less than 10 calendar days prior
to the first day of camp No refund or transfer less than 48 hours prior
to the first day of camp

Independent Contractors vs. Permit Holders The City of San Diego Parks and Recreation department offers a variety of programs for the youth which are provided through the means of three different sources; in-house programs (run by city staff), contractual programs, and rental programs. Contractual programs consist of independent contractors that have been approved by the City of San Diego as a sponsored program. Rental programs are commercial companies that rent out the facility to offer their programs and activities for the community. Please see below for specified requirements:
Requirements for Independent Contractors* All contractors, subcontractors and volunteers are fingerprinted through the City of San Diego Live Scan process. -Contractors provide Worker’s Compensation coverage for all employees. -All Contractors have a business license and carry insurance. -City staff handles all registration for the program. The Greater North Clairemont Parks and Recreation Advisory Group represents the
communities around North Clairemont and Cadman Community Parks. The North
Clairemont Recreation Advisory Group is looking for new members. Membership is free and open to the public. This group serves as an advisory group to the City of San Diego Parks
and Recreation Department and facilities. Meetings are held at 6:30 PM on the third
Wednesday of each month.

ANNUAL SPRING EGG HUNT & WHEELS PARADE
SATURDAY, APRIL 4, 2020 9:30 AM – 12:30 PM Participants are invited to celebrate Spring at South Clairemont
Community Park! This free event presents egg hunts, a ‘wheels’
parade, a DJ, air jump, and a special visit from Peter Cottontail!
Wheels Parade includes anything on wheels– bikes, skates, scooters, skateboards, strollers, wagons, wheelchairs, etc! No motorized wheels, unless ADA compliant.
Parade route will be the paved walkway in the park.
Adult Ceramics Participants share basic ceramic skills and painting techniques in a group environment. Participants must provide their own supplies and slip.
