ACTIVITIES

1. Using an atlas or a web mapping service, locate Clacton-on-Sea.

2. Talking in small groups or surfing the net, answer these questions:

- What are tides?

- What is a pier?

- What is a sea-side resort?

This activity was developed after my attendance at a course for Geography Secondary Teachers in Colchester in July 2012. I received a Comenius grant for that course.

All the photos of Clacton-on-Sea were taken by me, doing some personal research during that course. The cartoon and the sketch were also drawn by me.
