T The City of Santa Ana’s Youth Sports Program is gearing

up for the return of America’s favorite pastime…Baseball.

The upcoming Rookie Baseball season is scheduled

to begin with program registrations in June. Youth

Sports will host its fourth season of this co-ed sport

over the summer. The program continues to grow an-

nually with 2017 generating the highest number of

registered participants as well as the most teams in

a season since the return of the program in 2015.

With the return of the co-ed Rookie Baseball, the city has

expanding its Youth Sports Programs, thereby providing

more opportunities for youth to become active learn-

ers; develop new skills and socialize with others. A good

example of this effort took place at the Pitch, Hit and

Run and Jr. Home Run Derby event held at Riverview

Park on March 18, 2018. This fun and competitive activ-

ity sponsored by Major League Baseball, challenged youth

to test their pitching, running skills and hitting power.

The Rookie Baseball Youth Sports Program offers one of

the most effective ways to promote the importance of

and nurture a love for a game that has been America’s

favorite pastime for over 100 years. Rookie Baseball of-

about. We are sure you will enjoy yourself this summer

just a little more with a few games under the California

sun in one of our City’s great parks. The city’s Rookie

Baseball Program registration opens on June 4 at Je-

rome Recreation Center, located at 726 S. Center St

El Programa de Deportes Juveniles de la Ciu-

dad de Santa Ana se prepara para el regreso del pa-

satiempo favorito de los Estados Unidos ...Béisbol.

La próxima temporada de Rookie Béisbol está programada para

comenzar con las inscripciones para programa en junio. Deport-

es Juveniles abrirá su cuarta temporada de este deporte mixto

durante el verano. El programa continúa creciendo anualmente

generando el mayor número de participantes registrados duran-

te la temporada 2017, así como la mayoría de los equipos en una

temporada desde el regreso del programa en la temporada 2015.

Con el regreso del Rookie Béisbol, la ciudad ha expandido

sus Programas de Deportes para Jóvenes, brindando más

oportunidades para que los jóvenes se conviertan en apren-

dices activos; desarrollar nuevas habilidades y socializar con

otros. Un buen ejemplo de este esfuerzo se llevó a cabo du-

rante el evento de competencia de Lanzar, Correr, Batear y

Cuadrangulares celebrado en el Parque Riverview el 18 de

marzo de 2018. Esta divertida y competitiva actividad patro-

El Programa de Deportes Juvenil de Rookie Béisbol ofrece

una de las formas más efectivas de promover la importan-

cia de los hábitos de vida activa para una persona joven. El

programa Rookie Béisbol permite que niños y niñas desde

los 3 años participen, aprendan y crezcan con el programa

hasta alcanzar el octavo grado. Aprender y desarrol-

lar conjuntos de habilidades fundamentales, mejorar las

habilidades sociales y el trabajo en equipo son solo al-

edad temprana. Cuanto antes los jóvenes aprendan cómo

mantenerse sanos y activos, más probabilidades tendrán

de desarrollar las habilidades de bienestar necesarias y

de convertirse en adultos físicamente activos y sanos.

El programa ofrece oportunidades que ayudarán a desarrol-

lar y nutrir el amor por un juego que ha sido el pasatiempo

favorito de los Estados Unidos durante más de 100 años.

Rookie Béisbol ofrece competiciones de habilidades, excur-

siones y juegos de temporada a un costo mínimo. Venga y

vea de qué se trata todo el alboroto. Estamos seguros de que

disfrutará este verano un poco más con unos pocos juegos

bajo el sol de California en uno de los mejores parques de

nuestra ciudad. Inscripciones para el Programa de Rookie

1. 2. New students may register for on going classes as space permits.3. Registration for classes is accepted only through the second week of each session.4. Only payments of check or money order will be accepted.5. a class is full or canceled.6. If you pay by check, you expressly authorize the City of Santa Ana or its agents, should the check be dishonored or returned for whatever reason, to electronically debit your bank account on which the check is drawn for the amount of the check, plus a $25.00 processing fee. Make checks payable to the City of Santa Ana.7. Classes will be canceled if minimum enrollment is not met, so register early.8. The Parks, Recreation and Community Services Agency has the right to cancel or change any and all classes, activities or excursions, without advance notice.
