Customer Smart Account
Account where Smart Account enabled products are deposited. Licenses can be managed by
Customer directly, Channel Partner, or authorized party.
Who needs this: All Customers
Request Customer Smart Account

Access the new Software Portal: Cisco Software Central (CSC) software.cisco.com
Go to Administration and then click on Request Smart Account

Cisco Software Central (CSC)Request Customer Smart Account Select an Account Creator
Select the option Yes, I have the
authority to represent my
company if you have the
authority to represent your company
and you will authorize Smart
Account activation.
Select the option No, the person
specified below should be
notified to authorize activation
if you do not have the authority or
prefer not to authorize the Smart
Account. Select this option also to
start a Smart Account request on
behalf of your Customer.
Enter the Account Name.
Click Continue to proceed.

In this example, you will
nominate another person to
proceed with the Smart
Account activation.

Confirm your profile
information below.
If needed, update your profile.

The Account Name should
reference the Company Name
(e.g. Cisco Systems, Inc.)
Cisco Software Central (CSC)Request Customer Smart Account Edit the Account Domain Identifier (Optional)
If needed you can Edit the Account Domain Identifier (optional - requires additional approval time).
In the Edit Account Identifier dialog box, change Domain Identifier (edit top-level domain or add a prefix).
Click OK to confirm the new Domain ID.
Verify the Account Name and edit if required.
At this point you can click Continue to proceed with the Smart Account request (see previous slide).

If you choose to edit the Account Domain Identifier at the time of Smart
Account request, Cisco will contact you to complete the approval process.

If you selected the option No under
account authorization, you will be
brought to the Company Information
slide. You can provide Customer
Company Name and Address (it is
optional at this stage).
Tick the checkbox to select to
provide this information now.
Enter the following customer details: Company/Organization Name
Country
Address
City State/Providence Region*
Zip/Postal Code*
Note: If state/province and/or zip code/postal
code does not apply, please enter NA

Enter the email ID of users separated by commas to nominate them for Administrative access.
Selecting the option I request access to myself to nominate yourself for the administrative role.
Click Continue to proceed.

Verify the Smart Account information and the names of the users nominated for administrative access.
Click Submit Request.

After submitting the request you will
receive a confirmation message
Smart Account Request Complete.
The request is placed in pending
state until it is authorized by the
specified creator.
You and the nominated creator will
also receive a confirmation via email.

After submitting the request, a provisional
Smart Account will be created.
Orders can be assigned to a provisional
Smart Account, however the items
purchased cannot be used by the
Customer until the Smart Account is
activated.
Complete Smart Account Setup

An email notification will be sent to the nominated person with a link to verify Account information.
Click Complete Smart Account Setup to access the Account Authorization page.
You need a CCO ID. If you dont have one, click register for a new account

Select Yes, I have authority to
represent my company if you
can represent your company for
account authorization.
Note: If you do not have
authority, select No, the person
specified below must be
notified to authorize activation
to nominate a user who can
authorize account creation.
Click Continue to proceed.

Verify and confirm the Account Name.
You can edit the Account Domain Identifier if needed (view details on the next slide)
Click Continue.
*Note: the Account Name should reference the Company Name, to mirror the Domain of the Account
Owners Company. E.g. If the Domain is Cisco.com, the Account Name should be Cisco.

If needed you can Edit the Account
Domain Identifier.
In the Edit Account Identifier dialog
box, change Domain Identifier (edit
top-level domain or add a prefix).
Enter the justification for updating the
Domain Identifier and provide your
phone number.
If the Domain Identifier does not
match the email address provided,
an approval is required.
Click OK to proceed.

you once you submit the request.
Once the change has been approved,
you can login and resume the
account set up process.

After confirming the Account Information, you need to confirm your Company Name and Address.
Enter the company/organization headquarters address (populate all the mandatory fields)
Click Continue.

The company information may be pre-
populated for confirmation or require
manual entry.

The Administrator User Access
Request screen shows authorization
requests for additional
administrators.
Select the radio buttons to Approve
or Decline the request(s).
Select the acknowledgement
checkbox.
Click Continue.

Add Approvers or designate yourself as the Approver. The Approver should have the authority to bind
the company in any agreements pertaining to the Smart Account.
Add Account Administrators.
Click Continue.
