DMVPN Tunnel

Business Edition 4000 requires permanent access to the internet for deployment and management and also relies on a Dynamic Multipoint VPN (DMVPN) outgoing connection from the network.

You can use this network assessment tool to help validate the appropriate ports are open:

Deployment – PSTN

16BRKCOL-1056

Using up to two of the network interface modules in the Cisco BE4000, you can directly

connect to your PSTN provider.

• 1-, 2-, and 4-port T1/E1 cards

• 2- and 4-port BRI cards

• 2- and 4-port FXO cards

• 2- and 4-port FXS cards

• 2-port FXS, 4-port FXO combo card

Deployment – SIP Trunk – Two Methods

• Main Interface Only: Gi 0/0/0

In this scenario, it is assumed that all traffic

sent to the Internet will be subject to Network

Address Translation (NAT).

Secondary Interface: Gi 0/0/1

SIP traffic uses secondary interface to connect

to an ITSP provided router/E-SBC.
