“Expo Des Petits” – An exclusive, enchanting
and thought provoking exhibition was conducted
for the students of Grade – 1 at the school audi-
torium on 10-12-2013. There were exhibits per-
taining to lesson based concepts, values, and
themes connected to the four areas of learning
English, EVS, Maths, Malayalam and Hindi. The
English corner had innovative and imaginative
displays related to grammatical concepts. The
ideas floated and implemented were highly appre-
ciated. The experience with the science corner
was intriguing and thrilling. Different types of
plants, their products, models of houses, feathers,
domestic/wild animal displays honey comb with live
bear etc. urged the children to valley a plethora of
questions.
Walking to the Maths Corner, made the young
minds recap, the all too familiar area objects of dif-
ferent shapes, abacus, bead patterns, weighing scales,
charts gave them a practical demonstration of this
logical world. Nothing is complete without a visit to
our native and official language corner Hindi/
Malayalam. From the colourful glittery and embossed
display of alphabets, charts, drawings to the exclusive
representation of rural life, these exhibits kept the
children glued to their feet. We the teachers of
Grade – 1 would like to extend our heart-felt grati-
tude to the Principal, Management, coordinator, in-
management alike. The Math
Lab will be for the benefit of
the classes 1-12, classes 1 to 7
will be taken to the Lab once
every fortnight, and classes 8-
12 once a month.
The learning aids include
charts on famous mathemati-
cians and their discoveries.
Different properties and sym-
bols related to the syllabus of
the students were presented.
The objective of the Math Lab
is to help in the learning pro-
cess of math in students.
