ESTIMATE OF GIVING CARdS: TODAY is the first Sunday of collecting our 2016 Estimate of Giving Cards with the offering. Estimate of giving cards were mailed out a few weeks ago and there are also cards available in the pews. If you have brought your card with you please place it in the offering plate as it goes by. If not, take one home and fill it out and mail it back to us or bring it next Sunday to church. Your estimate of giving card helps us in our planing of our operating budget and we are grateful for all the ways you support LJPC. MALAWI 2016 TRIP INFO MEETING: TODAY, 10am, LC-5. Pastor Paul Cunningham and Christy Zatkin will hold a meeting to talk about our summer trip to Malawi. We are trying to determine the interest level for a trip in 2016 or if we should wait for the summer of 2017. The trip will involve working along side Lingadzi CCAP, our sister church, in mission and ministry development. If you are interested in going to Malawi or hearing more about the trip, please join us. L A d L E F E L L O W S H I P S E R V I C E OPPORTUNITy: Ladle Fellowship volunteers are needed TODAY. Meet at the fountain in the courtyard before 12:00pm, or at First Pres. Downtown at 1:00pm. Join us as we serve a meal to our homeless community at the Ladle Fellowship at 1st Presbyterian downtown. It is a wonderful and easy local mission trip. Find details at Reception. Hope to see you there!STEPHEN MINISTRy TRAINING: There is still room for a few more compassionate people who are good listeners and feel called to come alongside someone who is hurting. The training begins Wednesday, Feb. 3. Leslie Evans 858-414-4758.MISSION TRIP TO ROSARITO, MEXICO: Feb. 6-7. A Weekend Outreach to the Orphans of Baja, California. Anyone high school age or older with a valid US passport is welcome to join us. Working with skilled masons from Rosarito, we’ll continue construction of the first floor of the Casa de Los Angeles Orphanage in the hills overlooking Rosarito Beach just south of Tijuana. We depart from LJPC Friday at 7:00am and return about 4:30pm on Sunday. We’ll sleep at a safe, comfortable mission house near the orphanage and worship at Calvary Chapel Rosarito. The fee is $90. We need 12 overnight hosts and various other volunteers.
