†oPeninG HyMn #377 Joyful, Joyful We Adore TheeJoyful, joyful, we adore Thee, God of glory, Lord of love;

Hearts unfold like flowers before Thee, opening to the sun above. Melt the clouds of sin and sadness, drive the dark of doubt away;

Giver of immortal gladness, fill us with the light of day.

All Thy works with joy surround Thee, earth and heaven reflect Thy rays, Stars and angels sing around Thee, center of unbroken praise.

Field and forest, vale and mountain, flowery meadow, flashing sea, Chanting bird and flowing fountain call us to rejoice in Thee.

Thou art giving and forgiving, ever blessing, ever blest, Well-spring of the joy of living, ocean depth of happy rest!

Thou our Father, Christ our Brother- all who live in love are Thine; Teach us how to love each other, Lift us to the joy divine.

Mortals, join the happy chorus which the morning stars began; Father love is reigning o’er us, brother love binds man to man. Ever singing, march we onward, victors in the midst of strife;

Joyful music leads us sunward in the triumph song of life.

antHeM Blessed is the Man Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly,

Nor standeth in the way of the sinners; But his delight is in the law of the Lord,

And in his law doth he meditate day and night, And in his law doth he meditate day and night.

And he shall be like a tree that is planted by the rivers of waters that bringeth forth his fruit in due season.

His leaf shall not wither and what he doeth shall prosper, shall prosper, And what he doeth shall prosper.

†ClosinG HyMn #528 God of Grace and God of GloryGod of grace and God of glory, On Thy people pour Thy power;

Crown Thine ancient church’s story, Bring her bud to glorious flower. Grant us wisdom, Grant us courage, For the facing of this hour,

For the facing of this hour.

Lo! The hosts of evil round us, Scorn Thy Christ, assail His ways! From the fears that long have bound us, Free our hearts to faith and praise.

Grant us wisdom, Grant us courage, for the living of these days, For the living of these days.

Cure thy children’s warring madness; Bend our pride to Thy control: Shame our wanton, selfish gladness, Rich in things and poor in soul.

Grant us wisdom, Grant us courage, Lest we miss Thy kingdom’s goal, Lest we miss Thy kingdom’s goal.

Set our feet on lofty places, Gird our lives that they may be Armored with all Christ-like graces, In the fight to set men free.

Grant us wisdom, Grant us courage, That we fail not man nor Thee. That we fail not man nor Thee.
