Bollywood Superstar Salman Khan can

otherwise be called as the King of Bollywood’s Box-

office and he has been one of the most commercially

successful actors in India. His style, performance and

dance movements leave his fans in vein and he was

the one who introduced Rs 100 crore club to

Indian cinema. The son of screenwriter Salim, Khan

began his acting career with a supporting role in

Biwi Ho To Aisi (1988) and achieved breakthrough with

a leading role in his next release — Sooraj Barjatya’s

romance Maine Pyar Kiya (1989).

Khan went on to establish himself in Bollywood in the 1990s with roles in several top-grossing productions, including the romantic drama Hum Aapke Hain Koun..!(1994), the action thriller Karan Arjun (1995), the

comedy Biwi No.1 (1999), and the family drama Hum Saath-Saath Hain (1999). For his role in Karan Johar’s romantic drama Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998), Khan was awarded the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting

Actor. After a brief period of decline in the 2000s, Khan achieved greater stardom in the 2010s by playing the lead role in several successful action films including Dabangg (2010), Bodyguard (2011),Ek Tha Tiger

(2013) and Kick (2014). Eight of the films he has acted in, have accumulated gross earnings of over 1 billion (US$16 million) and he has starred in the highest-grossing Bollywood films of nine separate years.

Salman Khan has terrific craze among the masses and he is the most famous Bollywood actor among the lead actors now. Salman has recommended composers like Himesh Reshammiya and Sajid–Wajid. He supported Sanjay Leela Bhansali to make Khamoshi: The Musical and then Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. Actor Govinda’ s career was rescued by Khan as he offered parallel role in Partner. Similarly it was Salman Khan who suggested Mohnish Bahl to Sooraj Barjatya for Maine Pyar Kiya and later in Baaghi.

He will soon start shooting for his next movie Sultan in the direction of Ali Abbas Zaffar. Salman has his dairy full till the end of 2017 and many of his next projects are currently in pre production. Asin Thottumkal who started her career as a model made her debut

with a Malayalam movie Narendran Makan

Jayakanthan Vaka in 2001. After taking a break for

studies, she returned to cinema through a Telugu

film titled Amma Nanna O Tamil Ammayi which gave her an early breakthrough.

This film fetched her Telugu Filmfare Award for the Best

Actress. She has been blown with offers in Telugu

with many big actors and she has done movies

like Shivamani, Lakshmi Narasimha and Gharshana

which brought her wide recognition.

Asin is a trained Bharathanatyam dancer and she can speak eight languages and she prefers to dub on her own for the characters she signs. After scoring back to back hits in Telugu, she has been considered for the main lead in many Tamil movies with which she made her debut. She has played the lead role in

M. Kumaran S/O Mahalakshmi which was a huge hit. Her critically acclaimed performance in Ghajini with Suriya brought her wide applause and national recognition.

She then played the lead female roles in many successful films, most notable being the dramatic thriller Varalaru (2006), the action thriller Pokkiri (2007), romantic drama Vel (2008) and the blockbusterDasavathaaram (2008) opposite Kamal Haasan and hence established herself as the leading actress of Tamil cinema and was also honoured by the Tamil Nadu government with the Kalaimamani award for her excellence in the field of art and literature. Asin prefers to be tight-lipped about her philanthropic activities, as she does not want them to be misconstrued as publicity stunts. In 2010, it was reported that Asin had decided to fund the education of Radhika, an eight-year-old orphan girl from Kerala. Asin financially support the child right up to her college. She has recently wrapped up the shoot of All Is Well starring Abhishek Bachchan in the main lead and Rishi Kapoor, Supriya Pathak will be seen in other prominent roles. The movie has been directed by Umesh Shukla who earlier directed Oh My God in the past. The movie has completed shoot recently and is slated for release on August 21st this year.
