Preparing For Lent with a Parish Mission at our Whitney Point Church

Save the Dates: Monday, February 24th & Tuesday, February 25th Each night will be different. Not the same talk each night, so please come both nights!

Let’s gather together to gain further insight into a faith filled life. It is a time for grace and renewal of the

individual and parish through music and talks filled with stories, examples and meaning.

Christian/Gospel Artist Jeremy Bobak and speaker Chris Spilka will be here!

Praying The Stations of the Cross at OLPH - Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church will be praying

the Stations of the Cross every Friday during Lent, beginning February 28th, at 3:00pm, weather permitting.

World Day for Consecrated Life-Celebrated in Parishes February 1-2 In 1997, Pope Saint John Paul II instituted a day of prayer for women and men in consecrated life. This celebration is attached to the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord on February 2nd. This Feast is also known as Candlemas Day; the day on which candles are blessed symbolizing Christ who is the light of the world. So too, those in consecrated life are called to reflect the light of Jesus Christ to all peoples. The celebration of World Day for Consecrated Life is transferred to the following Sunday in order to highlight the gift of consecrated persons for the whole Church.

World Day for Consecrated Life was celebrated in the Church on Saturday, February 1st, and in parishes on the weekend of February 1-2, 2020. Please pray for all those who have made commitments in the consecrated life, and be sure to thank them on their special day.

May they continue to be inspired by Jesus Christ and respond generously to God's gift of their vocation.

Please Take Note: Our 8:30am Tuesday Mass in March will be at our Whitney Point Church instead of Marathon due to not many coming in winter. It will resume in May. Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church will not have last Tuesday of the month morning

Mass until April. So there is no 8:30am Mass at any of our churches the last Tuesday of the month until April.

A Family Perspective - Family life provides opportunities to grow in holiness. We are never perfect on this side of

Heaven. Each of us has areas that could be presented to the Lord for purification. Ask the Holy Spirit to guide your

family in finding those areas and offering them to God.

Jesus is... By Father Mike Schmitz Check out a free talk by Fr. Mike Schmitz on formed.org. In this talk, “Jesus is…” Father Mike reveals the incredible implications of the question that Christ asks all of us: “Who do YOU say that I Am?” Parish Code: CFMRYY

Christian Men of Faith is an organization of men from our three parishes that meet twice a month, 2nd

The 12th Annual Ignite Catholic Men’s Conference, sponsored by the Diocese of Syracuse,

Vocation View: You do not have to be perfect to follow God. St Paul reminds us that God does not call the qualified. Rather, He qualifies the called. Do not be intimated by the work of priesthood or religious life, but be open to the great

work God can do in and through you. For more information on vocations, please visit www.vocations-syracuse.org.
