CIH regulated qualifications The Chartered Institute of Housing is a nationally recognised Awarding Organisation for qualifications in housing. We are the leading Awarding Organisation for housing qualifications and we are dedicated to providing the highest quality, relevant and up-to-date qualifications for everyone in housing.
This qualification is an introductory vocational qualification for the housing sector. It is also the technical/knowledge component of the Intermediate (Level 2) Apprenticeship in Housing. Broadly comparable to a GCSE (grades A-C) or an NVQ Level 2.
CIH Level 2 Certificate in Housing Practice (QCF)
This qualification is an introductory vocational qualification for the housing sector. Broadly comparable to a GCSE (grades A-C) or an NVQ Level 2. It is aimed at those people who have a desire to learn how to use their homes in a more sustainable way.
CIH Level 2 Award in Sustainable Living (QCF)
These qualifications are vocationally related qualifications for housing professionals working in a front line capacity in the housing sector. The Level 3 Certificate in Housing (QCF) is also the technical/knowledge component of the Advanced (Level 3) Apprenticeship in Housing. Broadly comparable to an A Level standard or an NVQ Level 3

These vocational qualifications provide housing staff working at or aspiring to a supervisory or management level with a qualification to suit their needs. Level 4 qualifications are at a level equivalent to Certificates of Higher Education or an NVQ Level 4.
