IMPOSSIBLE MISSION?

CICM2020A S M

WELCOMEJOIN US IN WELLINGTON, NEW ZEALAND

The College of Intensive Care Medicine of Australia and New Zealand (CICM) invites you to be part of the 2020 Annual Scientific Meeting.

You can’t beat Wellington on a good day, and we have four fantastic days planned for the 2020 Annual Scientific Meeting. The focus of this meeting is Critical Care: Cancer & Chronic Disease – Impossible mission? This contemporary and perhaps controversial theme will encompass a wide range of topics designed to enhance the understanding of the changing world of intensive care and promote debate and discourse amongst the delegates.

We have invited a diverse range of speakers - Intensivists, Anaesthetists and Cancer & Chronic Disease specialists from within our own region and beyond the borders of our South Pacific island nation. International speakers from the United States, Canada and Great Britain have already been confirmed. We welcome international representation from paediatric and adult critical care and expect that the diversity of speaking talent for this unique meeting will appeal to an audience beyond the traditional College membership.

The Michael Fowler Centre, centrally located on the waterfront, provides state-of-the art facilities and excellent meeting and exhibition space. The venue is within an easy stroll of both the CBD and a wide range of fine dining and award-winning entertainment opportunities.

Sponsorship and/or exhibition of the CICM ASM provides numerous opportunities for your organisation to raise or retain its profile as a premier provider of products or services relevant to Critical Care. You will have exposure on the College website for many months both before and after the event, with a hotlink to your own website. We will provide a strong social media presence in the months leading up to the conference, with subsequent podcasts of selected conversations after the event. In addition, we are keen to work with sponsors to optimise your exposure and interaction with conference delegates and to consider new ways to nurture this connectivity.

We have planned two social functions that will provide a relaxed environment for you to engage with delegates, build new relationships and showcase what your company has to offer the ICU platform.

We value your partnership with CICM and look forward to your company being part of the energy and excitement of the 2020 ASM Exhibition and Sponsorship.

ASM PROGRAM Friday 22nd – 24th May

The CICM 2020 ASM theme this year is Critical Care: Cancer and Chronic Disease – Impossible Mission? The massive scope of the program encompasses the patient who has Cancer/Chronic Disease or has undergone any treatment for cancer or a chronic disease and develops critical illness. The pace of change in this area, both in therapeutics and understanding has brought about huge changes in outcomes compared to the times when many ICU specialists trained. Furthermore, there is a growing body of evidence that prolonged ICU stay may constitute a chronic disease. Full program details will be posted on the 2020 ASM website.
