CHINA

Although the Chinese government

makes it difficult for Christians to

obtain church buildings, a large church

was made from snow at China's Harbin

International Ice and Snow Sculpture

Sweden. Both hotel and church are

The church at Mitterfirmiansreut, dubbed Gods Igloo by one German newspaper, is more than

65 feet in length and also contains a tower. It was initially planned to be open before Christmas,

according to Spiegel International Online, but the construction was delayed by warm weather

Snow Palace in London

An artist is challenging global warming by exhibiting ice sculptures of London landmarks outdoors at the

height of the British summer. The ice sculptures of Post Office Tower, The London Eye, St Pauls

Cathedral and Big Ben are on display in the capital. Artist Percy Salazar created the piece to promote
