Before Jesus began preaching, teaching

and healing throughout Galilee and Judea,

he came to John to be baptized. The Spirit of God de-

Christians, baptized with the Holy Spirit, we are em-

powered to carry on Jesus’ mission. Let us consider

The Son of God is gradually revealed to the world.

Isaiah speaks of the servant of the LORD who brings

justice and compassion. Peter preaches to a group of

Gentiles, telling them that God was with Jesus as he

brought hope and healing to all people. Finally, we

hear the Father’s voice from the heavens at Jesus’ bap-

tism: This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well

pleased.” May we see him revealed today in the Word,

in the Eucharist, and in each other.

Introducción a la Liturgia de la Palabra

El Hijo de Dios se va revelando gradualmente al

mundo. Isaías habla del siervo del Señor, que traerá la

justicia y la compasión. Pedro le predica a un grupo de

paganos y les dice que Dios estaba con Jesús mientras

que éste llevaba esperanza y sanación a todas las

personas. Por último en el bautismo de Jesús

escuchamos la voz del Padre desde el cielo que decía:

“Éste es mi Hijo muy amado, en quien tengo mis

complacencias”. Pidamos ver a Jesús revelado hoy en

la Palabra, la Eucaristía y en cada uno de nosotros.

Faith Formation Classes are held at the

school building located at 86-37 53rd Avenue,

on Sundays from 8:15 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.,

from September through May.

A new registration must be completed for all present stu-

dents as well as new students to attend our program. Parents

must bring the following documents when registering:

- Baptism Certificate

- Birth Certificate, if child is not baptized

- A Parish Transfer letter is required if child attended

another parish
