Aldo Chaparro (born 1965) is a Peruvian sculptor whose artistic work is centered in sculpture and design, best known for his works on stainless steel. AC E RO
Aldo Chaparro is known for expanding the boundaries that separate Art from other
disciplines, making of this frontier his central theme.
Through different media, Chaparro remixes and edits references from the media
world pushing aside the notions of past and future to offer a present where
simultaneity co-exists.
He is the editorial director of Celeste Editorial Group, and as an editor he is able
to take phrases and images referent to art an art history and decontextualize them
giving them a new meaning.
He plays with the notion of the two and three-dimensional as his steel sculptures
stand as a record of the performative action that gave them form.
