Christmas EveMONDAY 24TH DECEMBER

Arriving on Christmas Eve, join us from 6pm for fizz and canapés, as our carol singers get everyone in the festive mood. The festivities start at 7pm with a four-course dinner, focused on seasonal produce, created by head chef, Benji Thornton. Then it’s time to get wrapped up warmly and walk across the road to Midnight Mass at York Minster. You’ll return to a homemade mince pie and a warming nightcap of mulled wine to toast in Christmas Day.

Christmas DayTUESDAY 25TH DECEMBER

Wake up to peaceful historic York. After opening presents, the big day itself starts with a Yorkshire breakfast. The first glass of Champagne (we’re sure it’s not going to be the last!) will be served at 12.15pm, before it’s time to sit down and enjoy your traditional Christmas lunch, which has been lovingly created by our award-winning team of chefs and leave the washing up to us! You’ll be entertained and wowed by George Hobson our fantastic table magician “Watch your wallets”

Then it’s time for a relaxing Christmas evening, with a delicious buffet, after which there’s time to put your feet up and enjoy your favourite Christmas tipple and take part in our light-hearted Christmas quizzes.

Boxing DayWEDNESDAY 26TH DECEMBERBoxing Day means one thing, a day of relaxation and more merriment. We’re sure you’ll have room for a hearty Yorkshire breakfast, then the morning is all yours to enjoy York as it starts to come back to life.

AN OLD DAME RETURNSOur favourite time to watch the renowned York Theatre Royal Pantomime, the matinee performance starts at 4.30pm this Boxing Day. This year’s performance will be ‘The Grand Old Dame of York’ starring the legendary Panto Dame, Berwick Kaler, who returns to the stage for his 40th year.

DINNERArrive back to the hotel to a wonderful four-course dinner, and celebrate the final evening as part of your Christmas stay at the Dean Court.

By the way...RESTAURANT SEATING(24th–26th)Seating is in the Captain’s Table format with guests sharing with others on larger tables - creating a relaxed and friendly setting to celebrate Christmas. There are several tables of two and four available. Please state if you prefer not to share, as we may transfer couples to tables of two if they become available ‘last-minute’. As our menus are planned so far in advance the final ingredients and menu is subject to change.

Toast in 2019The ideal city to celebrate the year and toast in the new, with everyone across the city making their way to the Minster before the clock strikes twelve. So be right in the heart of the action, with our black-tie dinner and a night away at the Dean Court. Expect a delicious menu, fantastic drinks and for those looking to party the night away, you’ll even have the chance to boogie!

New Year’s EveMONDAY 31ST DECEMBERExplore York in all its festive glory on this last day of the year. 7pm is the time for Black Tie and Party Frocks and a cocktail reception, followed by a celebratory New Year’s Eve six-course menu at 8pm. Get those dancing shoes at the ready, as our disco gets going at 9pm until 1am.
