Born in the night, Mary’s Child (i),
A long way from your home;
Coming in need, Mary’s child,
Born in a borrowed room.
Clear shining light, Mary’s Child,
Your face lights up our way;
Light of the world,
Mary’s Child,
Dawn on our darkened day.
Hope of the world, Mary’s Child,
You’re coming soon to reign;
King of the earth, Mary’s Child,
Walk in our streets again.
Born in the night, Mary’s Child,
A long way from
your home;
Coming in need, Mary’s child,
Born in a borrowed room.
Little donkey, little donkey
On the dusty road
Got to keep on plodding
onwards
With your precious load.
Been a long time, little donkey
Through the winter's night
Don't give up now, little donkey
Bethlehem's in sight.
Ring out those bells
Tonight!
Bethlehem, Bethlehem
Follow that star tonight
Bethlehem, Bethlehem.
Little donkey, little donkey
Had a heavy day
Little donkey,
Carry Mary safely on her
way.

Go, Tell It On The Mountain,
Over the hills and everywhere;
Go, Tell It On The Mountain
That Jesus Christ is born.
While shepherds kept their watching
Over silent flocks by night,
Behold throughout the heavens,
There shone a holy light:
Go, Tell It On The Mountain,
Go, Tell It On The Mountain,
Over the hills and everywhere;
Go, Tell It On The Mountain
That Jesus Christ is born.
The shepherds feared and
trembled
When lo! above the earth
Rang out the(e) angel chorus
That hailed our Saviour's birth:
Go, Tell It On The Mountain,
Over the hills and everywhere;
Go, Tell It On The Mountain
That Jesus Christ is born.
(v3?)
And lo when they had seen it,
They all bowed down and prayed,
They travelled on together
To where the baby lay.

Have yourself a merry little Chri--stmas,
Let your heart be light;
From now on, our troubles will be out
of sight.
Have yourself a merry little Christmas,
Make the Yuletide stay;
From now on, our troubles will be
miles away.
{*Here we are as in olden days,
Happy golden days of yore;
Faithful friends who are dear to us,
Gather near to us once more.
Through the years we all will be together,
If the fates allow,
Hang a shining star upon the highest
bough,
And have yourself a merry little
Christmas now repeat* }segue into
It’s real love, it’s real (x2)
It’s real – love.
All my little plans and
schemes,
Lost like some forgotten dream,
Seems like all I really was doing,
Was waiting for you.
Just like little girls and boys
Playing with their little toys,
Seems like all we really were doing,
was waiting for love.
Don’t need to be alone
Don’t need to be alone,
It’s real love, it’s real
(x2)
It’s real – love.

I'm dreaming of a white Chri--stmas,
Just like the ones I used to know;
Where the treetops gli-sten
and children li-sten
To hear sleigh bells in the snow.
I'm dreaming of a white Christmas,
With every Christmas card I write;
May your days be merry and bright
And may all your Chri_stmas' be white.
I'm dreaming of a white Christmas,
Just like the ones I used to know;
Where the treetops glisten
and children listen
To hear sleigh bells in the snow
I'm dreaming of a white Christmas,
With every Christmas card I write;
May your days be merry and bright
And may all your Chri_stmases be white.

It's the most wonderful time of the year
With the kids jingle belling
And everyone telling you "Be of good cheer"
It's the most wonderful time of the year
It's the hap-happiest season of all
With those holiday greetings and big happy meetings
When friends come to call
It's the hap- happiest season of all
There'll be parties for hosting
Marshmallows for toasting
And carolling out in the snow.
There'll be scary ghost stories
And tales of the glories of Christmases long, long ago!
It's the most wonderful time of the year !
There'll be much mistltoeing
And hearts will be glowing
When love ones are near
It's the most wonderful time of the year
There'll be parties for hosting
Marshmallows for toasting
And carolling out in the snow.
There'll be scary ghost stories
And tales of the glories of
Christmases long, long ago

When the snowman brings the snow
Oh well he just might like to know
He's put a great big smile, on somebody's face
If you jump into your bed
Quickly cover up your head
Don't you lock the doors
You know that sweet Santa Claus in on the way
Oh well I wish it could be Christmas, every day
When the kids start singing and the band
begins to play
Oh, I wish it could be Christmas, every day
Let the bells ring out for Christmas!
When we're skating in the park
If the sorm cloud paints it dark
Then your rosy cheek's gonna light my merry way
Now the frosticals appear
And they've frozen up my beard
So we'll lie by the fire
till the sleet simply knocks them all away
Oh well I wish it could be Christmas, every day
When the kids start singing and the band begins to
play
Oh, I wish it could be Christmas, every day
So let the bells ring out for Christmas!
When the snowman brings the snow (when the
snowman brings the snow)
Well he just might like to know (well he just might like to
know)
He's put a great big smile on somebody's face
So if Santa brings that sleigh
All along the Milky Way
I'll sign my name on the rooftops in the snow
Then he may decide to stay.
Well I wish it could be Christmas, every day
When the kids start singing and the band begins to play
Oo-oh, I wish it could be Christmas, every day
So let the bells ring out for Christmas! out for
Christmas

Sleigh bells ring, are you listening,
In the lane, snow is glistening
A beautiful sight,
We're happy tonight.
Walking in a winter wonderland.
Gone away is the bluebird,
Here to stay is a new bird
He sings a love song,
As we go along,
Walking in a winter wonderland.
In the meadow we can build a snowman,
Then pretend that he is Parson Brown
He'll say: Are you married?
We'll say: No man,
But you can do the job
When you're in town.
Later on, we'll conspire,
As we dream by the fire
To face unafraid,
The plans that we've made,
Walking in a winter wonderland.
Sleigh Ride
Just hear those sleigh bells jingle-ing,
ring-ting tingle-ing, too
Come on, it's lovely weather for a
sleigh ride together with you
Outside the snow is falling and
friends are calling "yoo hoo"
Come on, it's lovely weather for a
sleigh ride together with you
Giddy-yap, Giddy-yap, Giddy-yap, let’s
go, let’s look at the show
We’re riding on a wonderland of snow.
Giddy-yap, Giddy-yap, Giddy-yap, it’s
grand just holding your hand
We’re gliding along with a song of a wintery
fairy land.
Our cheeks are nice and rosy and comfy
cozy are we,
We're snuggled up together like two birds
of a feather would be;
Let's take that road before us and sing a
chorus or two,
Come on it's lovely weather for a sleigh ride
together with you.

The holly and the ivy,
When they are both full grown,
Of all the trees that are in the wood,
The holly bears the crown.
(Smooth)The rising of the sun
(bouncy) And the running of the deer,
(full)The playing of the merry organ,
(sweetly) Sweet singing in the choir.
The holly bears a blossom,
As white as the lily flower,
And Mary bore sweet Jesus Christ,
To be our sweet Saviour.
The rising of the sun
And the running of the deer,
The playing of the merry organ,
Sweet singing in the choir.
The holly bears a berry,
As red as any blood,
And Mary bore sweet Jesus Christ
To do us people good.
The rising of the sun
And the running of the deer,
The playing of the merry organ,
Sweet singing in the choir.
The holly bears a prickle,
As sharp as any thorn,
And Mary bore sweet Jesus
Christ on Christmas Day in the morn.
The rising of the sun
and the running of the deer,
The playing of the merry organ,
Sweet singing in the choir.
The holly bears a bark,
As bitter as any gall,
And Mary bore sweet Jesus
Christ
For to redeem us all. The rising of the sun and the running of
the deer,
The playing of the merry organ,
Sweet singing in the choir
The holly and the ivy,
When they are both full grown,
Of all the trees that are in the wood,
The holly bears the crown.
The rising of the sun
And the running of the deer,
The playing of the merry organ,
Sweet singing in the choir.

O little town of
Bethlehem_how still we see thee
lie.
Above thy deep and dreamless
sleep_the silent stars go by;
Yet in thy dark streets shineth_the
everlasting Light;
The hopes and fears of all the
years_are met in thee tonight
How silently, how silently
The wondrous gift is given!
So God imparts to human hearts
The blessings of His heaven.
No ear may hear His coming,
But in this world of sin,
Where meek souls will receive Him,
Still the dear Christ enters in.
O holy Child of Bethlehem_descend
to us we pray
Cast out our sin_and enter in_
Be born to us today
We hear the Christmas angels,
The great glad tidings tell,
O come to us, abide with us,
Our Lord Immanuel.
12
Silent Night Holy Night
All is calm, all is bright
Round yon virgin
Mother and child
Holy infant so tender and mild
{Sleep in heavenly peace x2}

Adeste fideles
laeti triumphantes
venite, venite in Bethlehem
Natum videte
Regem angelorum
Venite adoremus,
Venite adoremus,
Venite adoremus
Dominum
O come all ye faithful,
Joyful and truimphant,
O come ye, O come ye to Bethlehem,
Come and adore him, born the King of angels
O come let us adore Him
O come let us adore Him
O come let us adore Him
Christ the Lord!
Sing choirs of angels
Sing in exultation,
Sing all ye citizens of
heaven above.
Glory to God
in_the_highest:
O come let us adore him,
O come let us adore him,
O come let us adore Him,
Christ the Lord.

Away in a manger_no crib a bed
The little Lord Jesus_laid
down His sweet head
The stars in the
bright sky_looked down
where He lay, the
little Lord Jesus_asleep on the hay.
The cattle are lowing, the Baby awakes,
But little Lord Jesus_no crying He
makes
I love Thee Lord Jesus /
look down from
the sky_and
stay by my side, until morning is nigh.
Be near me - Lord Jesus,
I ask Thee to stay_close by me
forever,
and love me I pray;
Bless all the dear children_in Thy
tender care
And fit us for heaven, to live with
Thee there.

As with gladness, men of old
Did the
guiding
star behold!
As with joy they
hailed its light
Leading onward,
beaming bright;
So, most gracious
Lord, may we
Evermore be led to Thee.
As with joyful steps they sped,
To that lowly manger bed,
There to bend the
knee before
Him whom
Heaven and earth adore;
So may we
with willing feet
Ever seek Thy mercy seat.
Holy Jesu, every day
Keep us in the narrow way;
And, when earthly things
are past,
Bring our ransomed
souls at last
Where they need no
star to guide,
Where no clouds Thy
glory hide. Amen (x5) A – ah – men! (last time)

Christmastime Medley
Joy to the world! The Lord is come:
let earth receive her King!
Let every heart prepare him room

Chestnuts roasting on an open
fire,
Jack Frost nipping at your nose,
Yuletide carols being sung by a
choir,
And folks dressed up like
Eskimos.
They know that Santa's on his way;
He's loaded lots of toys and goodies
on his sleigh.
And every mother's child is going to
spy, To see if reindeer really know
how to fly.
And so I'm offering this simple phrase,
To kids from one to ninety-two,
Although its been said many times,
many ways, A very Merry Christmas
