FCC Friends and Family – Thank you so much for the beautiful plant you sent my family when my mom passed away! How very thoughtful of you all to think of me at such a difficult time! I put the plant in my living room, and it is lovely! Each time I see the plant it reminds me of how blessed we are to have such wonderful Friends at First Christian Church that I regard as Family! First Christian Church has provided my family with such a positive and loving environment! I am forever grateful for the wonderful fellowship that we receive at FCC. Thanks again for the plant, and for being such a wonderful church home! Amanda Poeverlein & family

The tide recedes, but leaves behind bright seashells on the sand.

The sun goes down, but gentle warmth still lingers in the land.

The music stops, and yet it echoes on in sweet refrains. For every joy that passes, something beautiful remains.

NATASHA GOETZ IS IN THE SPOTLIGHT! Being a pastor’s wife is often a long and thankless job! We all know this but don’t often do much about it. I want to thank my wife for covering all my normal positions while I was away in Honduras, but also offer a special thank you for investing so much time into Roots, Legacy, Sunday School, Praise and Worship and the many other places you end up serving sometimes with little to no notice! God has really blessed me with you as a ministry partner and I know FCC also appreciates the service you share here in Garnett.

Legacy Pumpkin Patch Event Special thanks to the Peine family for allowing Legacy and The Nazarene Youth Groups to meet at the Pumpkin Patch!!! We had a great turnout with 62 students and 23 other adults & Children! Praising God for the Great space and really fun outing! We competed against each other in Gaga Ball and I am proud to say the Legacy students won for the second year in a row… but it was a lot closer this year than last. Thanks also to the other people who participated in helping: Karl and Morgan, Nicole & Daniel Stovall (Youth Pastor at the Nazarene), Chris & Julie Corbin, Ruth & Earl Peine and many others! Can’t wait for next year! Blessings, Chris Goetz

LIGHT THE NIGHT! We still have a few spaces for Trunk-er-treat this Saturday! Please contact Chris if you are interested in serving! This is such a great opportunity for our church to interact with our community! We are still in need of 3 or 4 tons of candy for Saturday! Joking aside we could use 100 more lbs or so. Please drop your donation off at the FCC Office or contact Chris if you need assistance. Thanks so much for helping us Light the Night with Jesus!! Blessings, Chris
