Seminar Schedule and Content
The next seminar – “The Opioid Crisis: A Christian Counseling Perspective” will be conducted at the Bible Fellowship Church of Ephrata, 491 Peach Rd on Saturday, September 30. The schedule will be 8:30 – 9:00 registration and breakfast; 9:00 – 9:40 The Opioid Crisis (Dr. Tom Miller); 9:45 – 10:25 Biblical Foundations to Addictions (Dr. John Pugh); 10:25- 10:35 Break; Christian Formation Interventions 10:35 – 11:15 (Dr. John Pugh); Case Study 11:20 – 12:00 (Rodney Mulhollem). You have the opportunity for several different options for reducing the charge of $50. If you have a party of 6 or more, you may have a reduced fee of $45 per person. If you register before September 22, you will have a $5 person reduced fee. You may attend for $35 person if you meet both criteria.
While at one time, our major opioid problem was heroin addiction, now it is a problem with prescription pain relief medications. Governor Tom Wolf has set aside $90.4 million for monitoring what he calls the Opioid Crisis supplying police, park rangers and game wardens with Naloxone for emergency use to save the lives of those in a critical health crisis due to the use of opioids.
