From the Pastor’s Desk
Please pay close attention to the bulletin inserts this weekend. One gives information about the event our parish is hosting on Saturday, October 17, which will focus on capital punishment and mass incarceration. We will have the opportunity that day to hear from a former inmate who was exonerated from Ohio’s death row. This learning opportunity is altogether appropriate for Respect Life Month. The other insert is from the Catholic Conference of Ohio. The Catholic Conference of Ohio exists to represent the Church’s values before the Ohio General Assembly and other agencies. The Conference has made clear its stance on three issues that will be on the ballot in November and would like all people of good will to consider these issues very carefully. My hope is that this insert will help us as we take up our civic duty to vote. May the Lord bless you throughout this week. wolf of Gubbio with the sign of the cross. The wolf was pacified and became a friend of the villagers of Gubbio. This week’s question: I’m tall when I’m young, I’m short when I’m

The Sisters’ Corner
The Missionary Servants of the Word will celebrate the Feast of Christ the Missionary on Saturday, October 24. All are invited to join the sisters for a retreat that day, which will include a moving drama, uplifting prayer, and enjoyable activities for the entire family. Join us in the school gym from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and allow Christ the Missionary to touch your heart, transform your life, and strengthen your family. (This event is in Spanish.)

Christ the King is hosting a special event: “Justice, The Death Penalty, and Our Criminal Justice System.” This will be an
opportunity to learn, discuss, and discover ways in which we can make our society more just. readings and learn about God’s great love with Ms. Richards and Ms. Laihr. (This event is in English.) Save the Date for Aunt Hattie’s Luncheon: Sunday, November 15. The Women’s Club has again invited Aunt Hattie to sponsor a
spectacular luncheon buffet, complete with theme raffle baskets, a large raffle, cookie sale, and soft music throughout. All Saints Academy Catholic School
We are pleased to announce that our preschool has been awarded nine scholarships from the Ohio Department of Education. These scholarships enable more students to have a faith-based preschool experience.
Outside the Parish
The Diocesan Family Rosary Day will be celebrated at 3:00 p.m. this Sunday, October 11, at St. Joseph Cathedral. This is

The Knights of Columbus Marian Council 3864 at 4217 E. Main St. will be having a chicken wing dinner on Saturday, October 17, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The cost is $6 and proceeds will
