DEVELOPMENT AND PEACE NEWS Matthew’s Gospel teaches us to recognize who our Lord really is, and challenges us to use this knowledge to act accordingly. Let’s pray that we will see Jesus in everyone around us, especially those who are most in need. Development and Peace’s work is guided by the Catholic Social Teachings, particularly the inherent Dignity of the Human Person as created in the image and likeness of God. When we recognize this truth, our care for others is enhanced. Join us in our mission to call for a different type of development; one that is concerned for the integral well-being of the human person. For the 50th anniversary of Development and Peace, D&P is offering FREE lifetime memberships. Just fill out a card at the display in our welcome area to become a member. “Journey to Justice” D&P Young Adult Retreat taking place Sept. 15—14 at St. Joseph’s Church in Salmon Arm BC.
