FRESH FLOWERS FOR THE SANCTUARY Do you have lots of beautiful flowers in your garden? We are needing some fresh cut flowers to decorate our sanctuary over the summer months. If you can help, please contact the parish office. Flowers should be dropped off in the upstairs kitchen by 8am Saturday mornings.

Spring/Summer Flowers Flowers are donated to decorate our church sanctuary from June to October. As past years, a schedule to help arrange and decorate the Sanctuary will be posted on the welcome area bulletin board. The flowers are dropped off in the church kitchen (upstairs) every Saturday morning and need to be arranged in vases and
placed in the sanctuary between 9:00—12:00. Please sign your name on the sign up sheet for any Saturday that you are available to help. Thanks

One Rock—WYD at Home 2016 Festival of Faith “Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy”
Aug. 12, 13, 14 Calgary, Alta A weekend of music, inspiring talks, fellowship and Mass.
Also a way to bring WYD to our local youth that cannot attend.

Mark your calendars! The Office of Faith Formation will be presenting the following workshops: Foundations of the Faith – Scripture, presented by Elaine Biollo, SC. Date: Thursday August 25th (8:30 am – 4:00 pm) at Our Lady of Lourdes School, West Kelowna. Cost is $25. This workshop is for all catechists, parish religious education coordinators and all those interested in on-going adult faith formation. Responding to God’s Unconditional Love - A RCIA workshop, presented by Bishop Emeritus Gerald Wiesner, OMI. Dates: Friday October 21 and Saturday October 22. Location: St. Pius X in Kelowna. ATTENTION YOUTH! OLOL's 9th Annual Vacation Bible School: Cathletics! Training to Champions for Christ! This 100% Catholic Day Camp will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in West Kelowna, from August 15th through 19th, 2016. It runs Monday to Friday from 9 am to noon. Doors Open at 8:45 am. Just like it takes dedication & commitment to train for the Olympics, it is also important to get the right training to live out our faith in this Sports - Themed Fun and Faith filled Vacation Bible School. Your children will become engaged in a LIFE OF CHRIST with teachings from God's Word on the Commandments, the Beatitudes and the Fruits of the Spirit. There will be great crafts, yummy snacks, music & drama, fun and games. Families are invited to join us on the last day to celebrate mass and enjoy a bar -b -que and live show presentation staring your children!! It is for all kids who have completed grade K through 6. The VBS is being hosted by OLOL Catholic Youth Minis-try. Registration forms are attached to this email and available at your church office. It is a LOT OF FUN! and a great way to meet other Catholic youth! Come out and join us! You are going to love it!
