John 1:14-18 (NKJV) 14  And the Word became fl esh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. 15  John bore witness of Him and cried out, saying, "This was He of whom I said, 'He who comes after me is preferred before me, for He was before me.' "

16  And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace. 17  For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. 18  No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him.

The word Fullness 4138, means a fi lling up fullness, where we now contain something

The 3 words We have all 3956 is one Greek word that means “In every way”

The word Received 2983 is one Greek word that means Obtained

Then grace 5485 for grace 5485 simply means an abundance of Grace

So we can read it this way, we have been fi lled up, in every way and we now obtained an abundance of God’s grace.

Colossians 2:9-12 (NLT) 9  For in Christ lives all the fullness of God in a human body. 10  So you also are complete through your union with Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority. 11  When you came to Christ, you were “circumcised,” but not by a physical procedure. Christ performed a spiritual circumcision—the cutting away of your sinful nature. 12  For you were buried with Christ when you were baptized. And with him you were raised to new life because you trusted the mighty power of God, who raised Christ from the dead.

Colossians 2:13-15 (NLT) 13  You were dead because of your sins and because your sinful nature was not yet cut away. Then God made you alive with Christ, for he forgave all our sins. 14  He canceled the record of the charges against us and “took it away” by nailing it to the cross. 15  In this way, he disarmed the spiritual rulers and authorities. He shamed them publicly by his victory over them on the cross.

1 Peter 4:10-11 (NASB) 10  As each one has received a special gift, employ it in serving one another as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. 11  Whoever speaks, is to do so as one who is speaking the utterances of God; whoever serves is to do so as one who is serving by the strength which God supplies; so that in all things God may be glorifi ed through Jesus Christ, to whom belongs the glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.
