ChristHis Coming
Scripture 1 Thess 4:13-18. I Will come again and receive you unto my self (John 14:3). This same
Jesus which is taken up from you into heaven shall so come in like manner as ye have seen Him go into
Heaven (Acts 1:11). Jesus is certainly to return again in bodily presence, to take His saints with our
dying to be forevever with Him. This is the Blessed Hope for which we are looking. It may take place at
any time, and we are bidders to be ready.
Introduction:Learning about His coming is a big topic which covers His coming for us andsecondly His
coming with us. First we call it as Rapture and second as appearing. We need to cover the verses
mentioned in Gospels, Acts, and entire Book of revelation. My purpose in this book is to cover how His
coming is certain and how we can be live more practical life to please God in this earth and face him
boldly while he is coming. Knowing about His coming helps us to live a moral and focused life 1 Thess
4:13-18. I Will come again and receive you unto my self (John 14:3). This same Jesus which is taken
up from you into heaven shall so come in like manner as ye have seen Him go into Heaven (Acts 1:11).
Jesus is certainly to return again in bodily presence, to take His saints with our dying to be foreveverwith Him. This is the Blessed Hopefor which we are looking. It may take place at any time, and we are
commanded to be ready.
He is Our Hope:We are expecting Him to come. We didnt saw him, but we enjoying His works and
presence in our daily life. We need to prepare ourselves to see him. He is our hope (1 Timothy 1:1) and
His coming is a blessed hope (Titus 2:13)
Time of His coming:We are in the last days (Heb 1:2; Acts 3:20) which is from the ascension of Christ
to the coming of Christ. The time from Creation (Genesis 1) to the time Christ was crucified is time
past (Heb 1:1). In the time past there are times of ignorance (Acts 17:29-30) which are also calledtimes without law (Romans 2:12). Genesis covers times of ignorance. Times of law started with
Exodus. When Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came unto Jerusalem and besieged it, the times of
Gentiles started (B.C 606) and continues till the coming of Christ. Apostle Peter expected Times of
refreshing (Acts 3:19; Isaiah 35:1-10) in his lifetime, but it will happen after the second coming of
Christ. When the fullness of times (Eph 1:10) comes God creates a new heaven and a new earth (Rev
21:1). Times of refreshing and Fullness of times together are called Times of Restitution (Acts 3:21).
There is certain time fixed for Jews. It is also called as Daniels seventieth week. This week lasts for seven
years. Out of which last three and half years called Great Tribulation.
As we are in the last days as part of Glorious church, we wont enter into the Great Tribulation At
any point of time we will caught up appear before the Christ. We just dont know when He is going to
come, so we need to be watching and waiting (Luke 12: 36-37). Be ready for Son of man comes when
you do not expect him (Mathew 24:44). Watch out for you do not know day or hour (Mathew 25:13). No
person, angel not even Jesus, only the father know the hour of his return (Mark 13:32).

It is said to be a little while (John 16:16; Heb 10:37) and Quickly (Rev 22:20) but no one knows the
time.
Certainty of His coming:Jesus Said I will come (John 14:3). Our hope on his coming is not an
assumption but based on reality of his sayings. It is something surely will happen, for the Lord Himself
promised it. He will descend from heaven with shout and trumpet ( 1 Thess 4:16). Will return just as heascended (Acts 1:11). He comes quickly (Rev 3:11) The OT Prophets foretold it (Daniel 7:13) quoted by
Christ as of Himself before the High preist (Matew 26:54) The Lord often spoke often of it (Mathew
24:27;51; John 14:3) His parables are full of it ( Mathew 25; Luke 10:35)The angels anounced It (Acts
1:11) The apostels described it in detail (1 Thess 4:13-18) The beleivers have hoped for it from the first (1
Thes 1:10; Titus 2:13) The Bible ends with it (Rev 22:7, 12, 20)
His Coming: Final words
When we turn our Bibles to the Last chapter, we will see the Last words spoken by our Lord Jesus Christ
to John which in turn written for us. Four times he spoke in this chapter. Out of four verses, three times
he spoke about His coming. 1) Obeying His commandments Behold I come quickly (Rev 22:7) 2)Receiving the rewards And, behold I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man
according to his work shall be I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.
(Rev 22:12-13) and 3) Respond to His Love Surely I come quickly (Rev 22:20) Three times it talks about
His Coming.
Manner of His Coming This is described in 1 Thess 4:13-18. Those who alive when Jesus comes do not
preced the belessed dead (v 15). The Lord descends with a rallying call. The archanges voice and
trumpet of God are heard and the dead rise first (v16) then the living and those raised are caught up
together into the clouds and meet the lord in the air (v17).
Christ Coming - Reasons
Purpose of it is to take away beleivers. All who are truly Christs will share the rapture as it is called (1
Cor 15:23; 51-57).
Delivery from the troubles:Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me. In My
Fathers house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a
place for you. If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to myself, that where
I am, there you may be also." John 14:1-3. "But we do not want you to be uninformed, brethren, about
those who are asleep, so that you will not grieve as do the rest who have no hope. For if we believe that
Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus. For this
we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord,
will not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a
shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.
Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord
in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words."( 1
Thess 4:13-18)

presence of our Lord Jesus at His coming? For you are our glory and joy. (1 Thess 2:19-20) But each one
must examine his own work, and then he will have reason for boasting in regard to himself alone, and
not in regard to another. (Galatians 6:4)
Never Grieve the Lord againwho will transform the body of our humble state into conformity with the
body of His glory, by the exertion of the power that He has even to subject all things to Himself. (Phil
3:21). Beloved, now we are children of God, and it has not appeared as yet what we will be. We know
that when He appears, we will be like Him, because we will see Him just as He is. (1 John 3:2)
United with Loved ones Now we request you, brethren, with regard to the (a)coming of our Lord Jesus
