Tests are a part of life.  Medical procedures, tests to obtain a license, entrance exams, spelling tests, and even the trials that life brings can cause us excitement, nervousness, anxiety, and hope.  We face them all with preparation and prayer, and wehope to learn and grow from every testing situation despite our age.

Next week is our standardized testing week in grades 1-8.  While we know that this isonly one tool that indicates the learning progress of our students, it is a veryimportant tool.  Scores are reported, kept in permanent files, and even used to helpdetermine class placement in the coming years.  In addition, test results help teachersknow how to plan for the future to be more effective.

And, our community watches, wonders, and frequently asks, "How do the kids do atCCLS?" in terms of tests scores.  So, we spend time preparing and practicing for the

tests, and I know that we will be proud to share this year's scores with our communityagain.  Remember that it's one reason why we were named a Blue Ribbon School.

Parents, please be sure your kids get plenty of sleep, eat a good breakfast, arrive toschool on time, and bring water and a snack for testing week.

It is important for us to help prepare our kids for life's tests.  Please pray for them andwith them next week, that they would use the gifts that God has given them to theirfull potential.
