The rose banner this morning honors the birth of Violet Ann Walker, daughter of Doug and Meaghan Walker, who was born October 2. Becoming living proof of God’s love, one person at a time. The Stewart Home & School is a community of people with intellectual disabilities located in Frankfort, Kentucky. Senior Adult Ministries Outing Join SAM in a visit to “The Thrive Center” on October 23. This jewel, located on Market Street, is full of resources and gadgets for living well. This tour is for you, no matter your age, but especially for caregivers. A high tech refrigerator lets you know if Mom or dad ate their lunch. Special glasses can enhance vision for those with macular degeneration. Go on a trip without ever leaving your chair! Don’t miss this tour, and stay to join us for lunch at Saffron. Be at Christ Church at 9:30. Reservations by 10/17. No charge for the tour, and lunch is on your own. Has a family member always wanted a pet, but unable to care for one?  The latest real-life robotic house pets may be for your loved one. Come and pet a robotic cat.     Sister Wisdom with Liz Curtis Higgs is taking place at Christ Church on Saturday, October 26, 2019 - 9:00 am - 12:30 pm. Women from across the community will join us for a full morning of fellowship, headlined by speaker Liz Curtis Higgs and will include breakout workshops. Registration is required for this event and the cost is $15. Online registration: www.ccum.net/calendar.

    Grief Support Group led by Rev. Melissa Head. As we grieve the loss of loved ones, we recognize the need for support. If you have experienced the pain of death, we want to work with you through your grief. Please join us in the Prayer Room on Tuesdays at noon beginning October 15 and ending November 19. Come even if you cannot be there every week. Let us know you are coming by calling Alicia Lewis at 882-9967 or email [email protected]. Childcare is not provided.

If so, you are invited to join us for Living Your Strengths, a three week journey into discovering your unique strengths using the Clifton StrengthsFinder assessment. The class will meet on Wednesdays from 6-7:30 pm, October 23-November 6, in room 252. We will be using the book Living Your Strengths by Albert L. Winseman to apply Christian principles and understanding to the StrengthsFinder assessment.
