RE: Chris Gibson Reference Letter February 26, 2016 To Whom It May Concern: It is with great pleasure and pride that I recommend Chris Gibson for any employment position. Chris has worked for me twice in his career from 2008-2010 when he then took a brief hiatus to fulfill a lifelong dream of traveling the world with his wife and returned to work for me from 2012-2016, when he was recently laid off from our firm because our financing was withdrawn. Chris first began his career with American Auction as an Account Executive where he generated his own leads and converted prospects to clients for auctions. He cultivated clients from large, medium and small companies along with individuals, all with property to sell at auction. He was both conscientious and resolute, always balancing the needs of the client with those of the company. He was a perfect solution based account executive who looked for client centric answers in the very complicated world of auction and liquidation services. When Chris returned to work for us in 2012, he took a position in our office in Shanghai, China where we were opening a new division. He was instrumental in helping us to become the first foreign auction firm in China and walked through the many levels of licensing and approvals required from the Chinese government. Not only did he quickly adapt to a new culture and way of doing business in China, he inserted the best practices he learned from England and the US into all he did which proved to be quite successful in getting iPai Auction Company in Shanghai, China off the ground. During his time in China, he served in the capacity of General Manager until we were able to hire the right candidate for the position; a role in which he distinguished himself through excellent administration, hiring and training skills. He then moved into an executive, sales position as the Vice President of Greater China Sales where he worked with multinational and local companies garnering consignment products to auction. In addition Chris was responsible for recruiting, hiring, training and motivating our sales team. One of the things I most admired about Chris was his ability to do the job, whatever it was. From difficult contract negotiations, to dinners with government officials, to picking up trash…Chris was always there to both demonstrate how to do things and doing them himself. Chris returned to the US to help promote the China business in 2015, where he was always thinking about what was best for the China operation and the US operation and shared much of what he learned in China to help the US business operation. Chris was also a mentor to many young employees and helped them grow professionally and personally. One young man under Chris’ tutelage was encouraged to come out of his personal shyness and begin to think more of himself. Before work, Chris would buy him breakfast and go through one motivational book to the next with a discussion session that help to mold this you man’s thinking and belief in himself. I saw a real difference in that young man’s life that Chris was responsible for making. 951 West Watkins Road Phoenix, Arizona USA 85007

On a personal level, I know Chris to be a true and genuine person who maintains emotional control in all situations, a real rock. He is also a visionary and has tremendous ability to see into the future outside of what the current situation may reflect. He is charming and the type of induvial everyone wants to be around. He is a wonderful connector and networker and knows the right people or someone who knows the right person to get things done. I would hire Chris for any role without hesitation.
