Ghana and CocoaCocoa is very important in Ghana because it brings money into the country when it is exported. Exported means selling it to other countries.

There is a government body called “Cocobod” which helps to ensure a better price for farmers when they sell their cocoa.

From Bean to Bar : How the Cocoa Bean Becomes a Chocolate Bar.

The cocoa for Divine chocolate is grown in Ghana by a farming company called Kuapa Cocoa.

The cocoa pods grow for 5 to 6 months. The farmers cut the pods from the trees. The pods are then split open and then the beans

are left to dry for about a week. The beans are sorted and cleaned and then

roasted at a very high temperature. Then cocoa is made, which then goes into

chocolate bars.
