It was great to know that the whole school got to do bodyboarding - I am sure K/1/2 students had as much fun as us. I found some of the bodyboarding tricks really hard. Even though I didn't make it to the top of the rock climbing wall, I still made it quite high up. That made me feel proud of myself." Ellie "Tallebudgera was great; the bodyboarding was exciting and I got to try some tricks that were very challenging and super fun. The rock climbing was quite hard and my legs were sore afterwards but it was amazing to do." Chloe "Rock climbing was extraordinary, the climbing wall was humungous!" Marley "At Tallebudgera, the instructors taught us cool tricks on the bodyboards. - we learnt 'The Superman', 'The Homer Simpson' and 'The Cockroach'. I did them all and can't wait to try again next year." Calai "Tallebudgera was really enjoyable. I especially loved the bodyboarding because it was such a hot day and a great way to cool down. I am glad we could spend a day altogether as it is my last few weeks here at Chillingham Public School." Myah "I liked Tallebudgera because there were big white waves to swim in. I got dunked under the water and then pushed myself up. The instructor told us about the safe waves by saying "Green is mean and white is right!". Maddie. "At Tallebudgera I learnt how to juggle with my friends and we played basketball. I really like going to Tallebudgera because of the beach. I really like the food as well." Marlee "Tallebudgera is the coolest because we always have fun and everything we do is amazing. Next year is my last year at primary school so I hope we get to do it again." From the Principal’s desk What a great day we had last Friday – it was a balmy 29° on the coast and 38 out here at school –

we are grateful that we were at the beach!

As you can see from the student comments the students thoroughly enjoyed their day, as did the

teachers and Mrs Window. Thank you everyone for dropping you child/ren off and picking them

up.

The last day of Kindy orientation took place yesterday and today we had the parent

information/orientation morning. Thank you to the P&C committee and Mrs Ward for providing the

morning tea.

At the last P&C meeting it was decided that we would perform our Christmas Carols in dedication

to our local struggling farmers. We would ask you to help us contact any farmers you may know

and invite them to the Christmas Carol evening, where they can have a free sausage sandwich, a

cuppa and a chat; giving them a well earned break from the farm for a couple of hours. We are

planning to promote the Christmas Carols as much as we can this year to reach as many families as

possible – if you are able to help with letter drops or you may know of some other way to help can

you please contact Mrs Window at school.

Thank you to those who have sent back their Survey sheets, we appreciate your feedback.

It was lovely to get such positive feedback from our grandparents last week and they also have

some great suggestions that we have taken ‘on board’

Mrs Window has asked me to remind all parents to apply for the 2020 bus passes before the end of

the year at https://apps.transport.nsw.gov.au/ssts/updateDetails. If you are unsure or have

questions please contact Mrs Window.

Attached to this newsletter are the unexplained absences for the year, as the Department is now

collecting this data. Please complete and return or phone if you have concerns.

School accounts are also attached for any account still needing to be paid.

Bookclub orders need to be back at school before Wednesday 20 November please.
