Description: Not marked on any OS ed. Situated in a hollow

in rough stony ground surrounded by a number of lowhillocks. Believed to be the site of a children's burial ground

(local information). No visible remains at ground level. The above description is derived from the published'Archaeological Inventory of County Cavan' (Dublin:Stationery Office, 1995). In certain instances the entrieshave been revised and updated in the light of recentresearch.

Description: Rectangular area (int. dims.28m NNW-SSE;15m WSW-ENE) enclosed by a slight bank of earth andstone except at NNW where it is bounded by a field bank

Description: A rath (CV023-030001-) whichappears to have been utilised as a burialground. A number of low upright stones which

 Townland: URNEY (Clanmahon By.)Description: Although this site has beenlevelled, the outline of the enclosing featuresare still visible from E-S-N, encompassing analmost circular area (diam c. 57.2m) which hasbeen bisected by a field boundary running NE-SW. Davies (1948, 110) believed that it wasprobably the site of an old church (CV025-

115002-).
