Preschool Story Time – Forchildrenagesbirthtofive,therearetworegularlyscheduledpreschoolprogramsperweekduringtheschoolyear.JoinMissMelasshereadsfunstories,dances,andsingsforpreschoolstorytime.ThetwoprogramsareonTuesdaysandFridaysat10:00a.m.Bothprogramshavethesamethemeandacalendarisprovidedeachmonthwithdates,themes,andtimes.
Teen Poetry Happens (TPH) @ the Bean – HighschoolagedstudentsmeeteachmonthatTheSpilledBeancoffeehousetosharetheirart,music,poetryandprose.ACHSEnglishliteratureteacherBethDuncan,artinstructorRobinIsenhour-Stewart,andMissMelguidestudentsthroughthecreativewritingandartisticprocess.Meetingsbeginat3:30p.m.Checkthelibrarycalendarformeetingdates.
Summer Reading Program – Eachyearduringsummervacationfromschool,theAlexanderCountyLibrarysponsorsasummerreadingprogram.Manyactivitiesandprogramsaredesignedaroundacentraltheme,providingchildrenawaytokeeptheirreadingskillssharpforthenextschoolyear.Childrenagedbirthto18areeligibletosign-up.TheprogramgenerallyrunsfromJunetoAugust.Aschedulewillbepostedatthelibraryandonthewebsitetokeepeveryoneabreastofwhat’shappeningandwhen.Sign-upsbegininMay.PleasecontactMissMelformoreinformation.

There is a $5 replacement charge if you lose your library card.
