Airbag safety and Car Seats

Do NOT place a baby in a rear-facing car seat in the front! If a passenger-side air bag inflates it will hit the back of the car seat with great force. This can cause death or severe brain injury, even in a low-speed crash. Can have air bag switch turned off or disabled by mechanic if a rear-facing infant or child under 13 must be transported in front seat.
