The show accepts cash and most credit cards. Phil Mostaccio, owner of Completely Nuts and partner in the 5 Star Fun Group, says that last year’s inaugural event was so well-received that the owners decided to expand the show to 51,000 sq. ft. “Being our first year, we didn’t know what to expect. But we met lots of parents last year who were shaking our hand and thanking us for such a great event.” Safe and Sound Steven Rhea, a partner of the 5 Star Fun Group and owner of AMJ Spectacular/A Moon Jump For You, provides all the inflatable and equipment for the giant indoor playground. He explains it takes more than 10 trucks, 30 staff, countless volunteers and two full days to set up the show. “When the owners of 5 Star got together to create this event, we knew we wanted two things: 1) A unique event and 2) a very safe event. So before the event opens, we ensure all the equipment is very clean, fully inspected, fully sanitized and meets the highest standards of safety-- just as we would want for our own kids.”

Our Exhibitors Excel “More than 60 exhibitors line the two halls at Palooza,” says Jeff Winkler, owner of Chicagofun.com and another partner of 5 Star. “We are excited to showcase so many family products and services from these exhibitors. We have people coming from four states to tout their services and products.”

Details! Details! The facility is ADA compliant, and the show has a First Aid station, a mommy pampering station, a baby changing area, a private nursing corner, a free (unattended) coat check, and several concession and snack stands. CHICAGO FUN FAMILY PALOOZA | Kane County Chronicle / KCChronicle.com • Saturday, M

arch 8, 2014 7Meet The Palooza Charity: Kids Against Hunger - Fox Valley

The partners of 5 Star Fun Group have humble hearts and love helping those in need. So this year, they chose Kids Against Hunger - Fox Valley (KAH-FV) as the perfect event beneficiary, where a portion of the show proceeds will go to this worthy cause. KAH-FV is one of 100 satellites’ of the national parent organization, Kids Against Hunger. They will also have a food packing line both days where families can physically participate in packaging food that will be distributed not only in Nicaragua but locally as well, holding true to their motto: Feeding families around the world…and around the corner. A portion of the event proceeds will benefit this charitable organization.

“There’s nothing greater than the feeling of doing something purposeful,” says Tim Balster, one of the event partners and owner of Balster Magic Productions, Inc. “Being such a hands-on charity, it’s very easy to see and feel the difference you’re making in the world. When you donate money to a group, you don’t always see how it gets used. But with Kids Against Hunger, you can actually fill the bags with food, and you see the pallet full of boxes grow as

you pack them! It provides a very rewarding feeling that you actually made a difference.”

Balster continues to say that this group offers a great life

lesson and is an ideal way for kids to be socially conscious as they volunteer and contribute to society, both locally and on a global level.

For more information on the KAH- FV, stop by their booth in the St. Charles Ballroom or contact them at (630) 528-1315 or [email protected].

Hope to see you there on March 15-16!

Family-Palooza owners help pack some items through their core charity, Kids Against Hunger.
