I just spoke with our representative from Comcast and they will be starting their fiber run on the 11th of November or sooner. The first phase will be down Chesdin Landing Drive, then past the clubhouse on Green Way, around to Chesdin Shores Drive. They are ahead of schedule and said this will be faster than FIOS. Bundles with phone, internet, cable TV and security will be available. The Verizon 4G cell tower is fully under construction and should be finished by the end of November.

These two issues have crippled new home construction as clients want to know that internet and cell service is top of the line and I believe it will be now.

Valley Crest will be doing leaf blowing over the next month. Please do not put your leaves in the ditch line areas. Our contract does not cover dispensed leaves by resi-dents just natural falling.

As a neighborhood make sure to patronize our clubhouse for lunch & Dinner and special events. Also, invite friends to join our golf club. New members make a huge difference in our bottom line and strength!!

Please submit any home improvements and landscaping to the office for approval prior to commencing any work.

Chesdin Landing Women’s Association

The next Chesdin Landing Women's Association meeting will be Tuesday, November 10th at the clubhouse at 10AM. Everyone is welcome! We are interested in adding new board members, to replace board terms finishing at the end of the year. No experience necessary – just a desire to continue the family events and activities that are Chesdin Landing traditions!

To kick off fall, the Chesdin Landing Women’s Association shared holiday recipes over brunch at the lovely home of Chris Zitzow. Each quarter the CLWA will host either a day-time brunch or evening of wine and cheese. These events are opportunities for us to welcome our new residents as well and get to know our neighbors. A special thank you to Chris for a special afternoon.

Each year we hold an ornament exchange in our neighborhood

that I host at my house (15600 Chesdin Landing Terrace). Most of

the Ladies in our community know of this, but for those who do

not, It’s a cocktail party just FOR the women in Chesdin Landing to

take A few hours to get together and catch up. You can bring an

ornament or not. If you choose to participate in the exchange, just

bring a $ 10.00, or less, wrapped ornament, (gift bag) and put it

under the tree. We try to start the exchange by 8:30 so if you have

to leave early you can. We have food, drinks, AND holiday music,

SO just kick back a little. I invite every Lady in Chesdin to please

come and enjoy themselves.

CHRISTMAS MOTHER

Christmas Mother volunteers dedicate their time year-round

for needy children and elderly adults to be able to enjoy the

Christmas holiday. Christmas Mother, with the

help of people, such as you, purchase toys, clothes, and food.

Around 1,500 families in Chesterfield County and Colonial

Heights have applied for help this Christmas.

I am a volunteer in this organization. I personally inter-

viewed two families who would benefit from our help. I am

asking you to please consider contributing some money to help

me go shopping. A father and his four children and a mother

and her two girls are the two families I want us to help. A tri-

cycle and helmet and a scooter and helmet are examples of

items on their wish lists.
