An opportunity to take a year off from major responsibilities presented itself and I took it. I came to the conclusion that my experience and education are best utilized when my intellectual capacity and problem solving ability are constantly challenged and my associates are equally motivated to meet goals and objectives. 03-05 Walker and Associates Consultant designed databases and administered research project regarding historical uses of hunting and fishing sites. research, drafting legal filings, interviewing clients, investigation and monitored accounting

and human resources. Project manager to update law office software and transfer time, billing,

accounting, calendars, clients and cases.

9/95-8/04 Projects. Managed and closed complicated family estate. Coordinated with

lawyers, courts and facilities. Grant writer (ghost writer) for a Request for Proposal (RFP)

response for a $75M private prison project including all financial as well as all innovative

policies and procedures – it won the contract. Established successful internet merchandise

business and placed products with local merchants.

9/95-9/01 Long-Term Care Coordinator and evaluator of facilities. Denver Area.

Coordinated long-term care for a family member as well as consultant work with families from

the time of need of long-term care through closing of estate including sale of property.

Researched and implemented long-term care programs, inspected facilities, manage medical,

legal, personal and financial needs. Speaker at the 2002 Joint Conference of the National

Council on the Aging and the American Society on Aging on Legal Issues. Radio appearance

with Jacqueline Marcell regarding choosing facilities.

1/91-8/95 University of Colorado Ph.D. Program Medical Anthropology.

Completed evaluation and research on fifteen-year follow-up case studies of juvenile prisoners

and developed program to remodel personal culture. Teaching Assistant for cultural classes at

an undergraduate and graduate level.

4/87-12/90 Alden Research Corporation (Sub-S), Alden Foundation (501-C-3), Boulder, Start-up high-tech company. Corporate officer and Administrator. 1M+ budget planning.

Coordinated between accountants and lawyers for all aspects of operation. Recruited

programmers and technical employees. Reported direct to the inventor-president

programs on contract for FSLIC as receiver for Sierra Savings and Loan to manage the

remaining assets of a foreclosed bank

6/84-1/86 Tallgrass Storage Devices, Boulder, CO Start-up high-tech R&D company.

Second person hired, took company from two employees to 120 in eighteen months, Director

of Administration but also worked in Marketing and Manufacturing. On team that created

marketing campaign for COMDEX and represented company. On-site monitoring and

evaluation of Maquiladora (Mexico) production plant. Successfully created corporate culture

that decreased turnover, decreased manufacturing errors and increased manufacturing output

and a zero defects production line.

Managed hotel, employees, repairs, advertising and day-to-day operations of hotel, bar and

restaurant .

Co-owner/founder. Director and Corporate officer for the first private prison contracting

with the federal government and the largest halfway house west of the Mississippi. 24 x 7

staffing patterns reflected clients, multi-racial and multi-cultural backgrounds. Developed

marketing strategy. Developed policies and procedures to meet ACA standards. Developed

client treatment protocol and oversaw staff of 60 and client daily count of 120. Registered

lobbist, State of Colorado. TV and radio appearances, speaking engagements, conference

attendance on behalf of program. Took program from $50K grant to $1.2M income in four

years. This was 501-C-3 corporation.

I have not been in the "publish or perish" environment, most of my publications are corporate

(private and public) studies, policies and procedures, employee incentive, reports to Board of

Directors, business plans (strategy as well as fiscal). However, here are a few:

2014-2016 Presentations at Conferences, including COLTT (CU Online Technology),

FRCC TLWT (College Teaching with Technology Conference), Desire2Learn

(National Conference Online Learning), poster session, eLCC (Online Educational

Development) and CCCOnline (Online Education) Webinars for Instructors.

2012 -- 2013 GRANT, one of four persons on a FRCC grant to develop and facilitate a

MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) starting in Summer of 2012 and set to go

through Summer of 2013. My part as facilitator was to work with forums, incorporate

new technology, including live capture of playing MMORPG games with voice over for

YouTube. There were 431 participants registered. FRCC Games in Educaton MOOC

2012 ETH 225 Introduction to Chicano Studies, in site presentation of an altar at the

Longmont Museum and Cultural Center representing FRCC and the Class. Invitation

PERSONAL INTERESTS

I am committed to lifelong learning and sharing with others. I do enjoy MMORPG and other

games, such as Magic the Gathering and Texas Hold’em Poker in a casual settings. I enjoy

photography and photo everything from flowers on hikes, to petroglyphs in the heat of the

desert to oncoming local NASCAR pro-trucks and late models on the track.
